Re: Cracked Titanium Weld

Update: BMW have declined to replace the silencer, as the bike is not under warranty anymore. The do have, though, agreed to give me a 50% discount on a new replacement. As things are, I cannot find a decent welder in my immediate area and a new Akra is going to set me back €1000 so I"m biting ...

Re: Cracked Titanium Weld

Nice job. I agree with your comment about poor customer service from Akrapovič. Problem is that they sort of monopolise the exhaust market to a certain degree so they basically don't give a sh**.

Re: Which End Can are you using

I have a beowolf that I fitted (now removed) although I'm not sure if they will be available in your country! 20220512_204000.jpg Hi there, can looks neat. Searched their website, though, and they don't list any products for the 1250RT (2019 onwards) not sure if your can would fit my collectors. I ...

Which End Can are you using

Hi guys, had a speck of trouble with my Akrapovič slip on and am looking around in the web to see if I can find anything different to the Slovenian make.

Have seen some neat Arrow exhausts from Burridge but it's not for a R1250RT. Anybody else has an aftermarket slip on? :!:

Re: Cracked Titanium Weld

Exhaust looks neat but I've been looking at the Arrow website and they don't do any slip ons for the R1250 RT 2019.

Re: Cracked Titanium Weld

A good specialist welder will be able to sour that out. Have you checked the rest of the system for looseness. Cracks like that are caused by vibration. Update: BMW don't wanna know either. They say the bike is not under warranty any more. Some guy at BMW is trying to get me some sort of a courtesy...

Re: Front Calipers Leaking

Hi, I had exactly the same problem when I purchased my RT in 2109. Dealer changed both front callipers and haven't had a problem since.

Re: Cracked Titanium Weld

Well, Akrapovič doesn't wanna know anything about this. They say that the sip on came as OE equipment and so it's BMW who should sort it out.
I've now gone to the dealers who have made a claim at BMW motorrad, Spain. Lets see how this goes, but I'm not very hopeful.

Re: Cracked Titanium Weld

Well, the bike warranty ended in June '22 (3yr warranty) I've not gone to the dealers, yet, but I probably know the answer they'll give me beforehand. Worth a try, though. I've got in contact with Akrapovic and they asked me to send them some images, which I did yesterday. Waiting for a reply, now. ...

Cracked Titanium Weld

Hi guys, whilst cleaning my 2019 RT1250 I noticed a crack on the weld between the silencer and the collector on the HP Akrapovic slip on. Anybody had this issue as well? Bike is now out of warranty. Any news or ideas would be great. Cheers!

Re: Front Headlight Bulb Removal

I think the 2013RT is different to the 2019 model. If my blown headlight bulb would have been one of the two side one's it would have been easier to change as all I need to do is remove the speaker and they are right behind it. The problem is that the blown bulb is the centre one and there is nothin...

Front Headlight Bulb Removal

Hi All, Got a warning light on my (2019) RT1250 dash panel yesterday, which turned out to be the front headlight bulb that had gone to heaven. Is it just me or do I have to get in touch with a midget in order to change the bulb. I have had a look at the access to the bulb cover and OMG there is no r...

Re: Revs don't always return to idle between gear changes

I were you, I'd take it to the Stealers. Sometimes, not always, they manage to sort out problems that other garages cannot.
