Is my 2010 RT linked braking
Hi all As this bike is new to me, still learning. I find the rear braking odd, am I right in thinking the front brake when applied, applies the rear brake also? So why have a rear brake pedal? Also, if they are linked, does applying the rear brake affect the front brake...

Re: Brake calliper torx screws 2010 model
Thanks guys.
I was curious why mine had 40mm. Also my old ones have a stop thread about 12mm from end.
Thanks for confirming they are 30mm. So they just seem to screw in 12mm.
I have no idea about grade, where can I find the grade from?

Hi all Did research into what size etc, pulled up parts diagram from BMW. Anyhow, said I needed M8 x 30 torx screws. But upon replacing the rusty ones, they are actually M8 x 40. They screw in about 12mm. Would they be safe to use or would you advice getting t...

Re: 4 wheel drivers when filtering.
Haha. Love the replies. The cigarette one is funny, hope it burns deep. I actually had one driver shout verbal abuse instructing me to que like everyone else. I kindly replied “ why, when I can do this “ ( rode off filtering with a one finger salute ) I have b...

Re: Newbie...a few questions about my 2010 RT 1200 SE
Yeah the light flashes until you set off, that's normal 👍same with all ABS equipped bikes from my experience. I use Silver Smoothrite on my silver bits that needed repainting due to corrosion under the paint, others have had them powder coated. Cam covers are magnesium so they can't be powder coate...

Newbie...a few questions about my 2010 RT 1200 SE
Hello all. Just bought my first RT 1200 SE Noticed a flashing Brake failure light, delivery driver said it’s be fine when you ride. Which it is, doesn’t flash when I’m riding? Could this be a sensor issue? Next are corrosion on the points I have shown in my photos. Any help or ad...
