Re: Sargent Low Seat With Heating R1250RT

I need to make some pictures. No problem. Seat is out of bike already. I add them a bit later My story is pretty much identical. Standard seat was a bit too high for be comfortable, so I got BMW low seat. Unfortunately BMW only shaved foam making it lower, but even more harder than standard. So I bo...

Sargent Low Seat With Heating R1250RT - photos added

Hi, I'm leaving BMW world for now (maybe will come back, who knows) and have for sale Sargent Low Seat With Heating. Rider only. Purchased new in UK but used. However I consider it in great condition. I had it on my RT1250. But I think it can probably be also used on the waterhead 1200 model. But ca...

Re: 1250 Caliper bolt torque

Thank you guys. I used the sheet provided by @Boxflyer (thanks again for sharing it). Replaced done yesterday. OEM swapped for dedicated Brembo pads. I was very surprised, OEM pads still had quite a bit to "the end", however I decided to replace it anyway. I was surprised because I've been...

1250 Caliper bolt torque

Hi all. I have a question regarding torque for front and rear calipers on the 2021 1250. I search internet for answers, but they are kind of mixed. So far for front I found as follow: 28Nm 30Nm 38Nm The last one if from Boxflyer torque sheet for this specific model. Anyone have any idea which one is...

Re: Waypoint cancel

Is that on TFT right?
During navigation, on big screen mode, wonder wheel click right -> Then roll down -> You'll see waypoints. Then again click right and it will be there. I don't remember now which position, but there is "skip waypoint"

Re: New helmet time. Which one?

BTW, I have Arai as well. I agree that Arai is build with protection in mind and comfort on the head. Do not mix comfort wearing it with quietness  Arai is the most loudest helmet I ever own. It is superb comfortable to wear for hours. It is fantastic ventilated. Have great angles for visor. Bu...

Re: Does the GPS/TFT System Accept MyRoute-app Routes?

All above answers are pretty much correct. I can share my experience with 21' RT with TFT I even didn't bother to check if my phone fit compartment - it will not :-D So the plan from start was to use dedicated phone for bike, had one at home as a spare, so used that with PAYG SIM. Android works bett...

Re: New helmet time. Which one?

I have Shoei Neotec2 and my wife have Shuberth C5. The biggest problem with buying a helmet is really good and proper fitting. If you just focus on on brand, it may not be what you think. As the shape of your head and internal shape of the brand not necessary will be compatible :-D To say so, buying...

Re: Travel insurance

I just dwonloaded entire nationwide policy and read it. OMG, that's so boring. But I found this: Section - Specific Exclusions (page 18/48) 9. Motorcycles, mopeds and scooters Any claim as a result of you using any motorcycle, moped or scooter, if: • You do not wear a crash helmet. • You are in cont...

Re: BMW driveshaft recall/problems & preventative maintenance

As you may be aware, there is a "Technical Campaign" on some 1250 GS's and RT's to retrofit a one-way drain valve in the swingarm, to allow moisture out of the tunnel. I heard that only about GS, actually I have service booked for 6th of April, and I asked BMW when I booked it. They told ...

Re: Hi-Viz vests

Personally I do not wear it. However I have big white bike ;-) with auxiliary lights always on. And white helmet with blue graphic. Apparently graphics are more visible than solid colors. Ride in that set-up for years and so far was OK. You always find some people who ignore you/ claim don't see you...

Re: Sena vs. Cardo

Pure sound quality for music, I say totally subjective Cardo with JBL speakers. Had Interphone and Sena before, for music Cardo win. For intercom communication I can't decide Sena or Cardo. I think Cardo have much better noise cancelling system. If you just ride alone, or like me with my wife. Choos...
