Re: Gerbing or similar heated clothing

My highest recommendation for Warm n Safe gear. Invented for motorcyclists by experienced motorcyclists. Many have tried to copy them. I know most of you are from the UK but if there's any way you can reasonably purchase from them, you won't be disappointed.

Re: Nav VI

I have the Nav VI on my 2019 R1250 and have had no issues with it at all although I've seen many threads posting about problems with it. As you've noted they're very expensive here so if I were in your position, I would do as others have suggested and go with the Zumo XT.

Re: Test rides

I guess the practise in Canada is the way of the future. My experience is that test rides from a dealer are rare. BMW Canada does demo days at major cities across the country with a travelling selection of bikes to try. Once a year if not cancelled due to COVID. Book your spot in advance.

Re: 21 R1250RT and Heed crash bars with aux lights

I have the factory auxiliary lights and HEED bars on my 2019. I didn't need any separate mounts for the lights.

Re: Considering Coming Over from S1000R - What to know?

I'm 5'7'' 160 lbs. with 29" inseam and have no problems on 2019 1250. I had a low seat set in the low position and recently had it rebuilt by Russell into their Sport Seat model which raised it slightly but still no problem and very comfortable for long rides. However, if you feel that you have...

Re: R1250RT brake fault

I have about 7500 kms on mine and have noticed more black brake dust than I ever experienced on my previous ride, a 2012 R1200GS with Brembos on the front. I haven't noticed any fluid leakage.

Re: Hi. And has anyone else lost rain mode?

There is no "Rain" in the Dynamic ESA menu as far as I know. I think it is a Ride Mode only and there are three choices: Rain, Road and Dynamic.
