Re: Annual Meet 2024

I won't be making it this year, I've booked onto a 10 day trip, at the beginning of September, round the Black Forest and France with a group that I'm a member of. SWMBO has said that she wants to get a river cruise in as well, that's my summer booked up

Re: Compression packing cubes

I use them all the time, really good in my opinion, never had any problems with creases.

Re: Plastic valve cover guards

Looking at the marks on the covers they are doing their job and I would definitely leave them on.

Re: Annual Meet 2024

I may be able to persuade SWMBO to allow me to go if it’s pushed to August, I’m in Holland in May, this is going to be for a week, on a rally. I’m away June and July in my campervan. So the summer is busy for me, as it was last year.

I put mine in the left breast pocket and the sensor picked it up.

Re: Annual Meet 2024

Have you thought about summer holidays, schools in France finish at the beginning of July and as a consequence accommodation charges rise.

Re: Low fuel warning light

I must admit I don’t let my tank get that low, around 100 miles and I’m looking to fill up

Re: insurace time again

Mine is due on 24th June, I haven’t received my renewal quote yet, but I have started looking around and I can get fully comp with protected no claims for £102. I’ll wait and see what my current insurer comes up with.

Re: Driveway problems

I had the same problem at my last house, driveway had been relaid and bike sunk in. Turns out that they’d put the wrong top layer on and it was too weak. Replaced it with the correct grade but I still put a steel plate under the centre stand just in case.

Re: Disabled riders

I’m classed as disabled, diagnosed with ME in 2009, hasn’t really affected me of late. I just feel tired now and again, after long rides I do feel it though.
