The A means it's in automatic mode

When it's off like so then you have turned the lights on
You cannot turn the lights off they are either on or in automatic mode

You have been very unlucky to snap those as the nuts on my 2016 are brass!

Anyway as David has said welding is the way to go

Do you not know anyone that has a welder?

ilium do bars that would probably do the trick but they are from the USA

Ps it might be wise to update your location so people can recommend dealers for you

Part of the recall is to have the bike in and check it first then replace if necessary if it's OK check it in another 12k or replace at 36k whicher comes first

Yes and I have had mine replaced at 32k when they checked it they found it to be out of tolerance
