powder coating is a grand idea. Probably saves me from re-spraying them every other year.

Basically I have the same problem. Run dry at 325 miles whilst the fuel gauge showed about 1/5 full. Now I just use the odometer to gauge the fuel :D
But it would be nice to fix it

I had a similar issue. Tried the hazard lights - bulb was fine as all 4 indicators worked fine. Disassembled the multi-switch as far as I could. can you get water tight bags and tie them to the frame with velcro?
