Re: Transit custom L2H1 carry a r1200rt minus screen
Yes, I think Stu & Doc T are correct regarding length for a SWB Transit but as yours is a LWB you would be ok.
As an aside I now have a Transit, L1H1 and I regularly carry my trail bike (CRF300L) and it fits in with no problem and not skewed to a side.

Yes, it should go in no problem with the screen removed. I have carried mine in a Toyota Hiace which is a smaller van than your Transit.

Re: touring idea
Before anyone starts running away with this idea just bear in mind how many sections this would create :) Although I can create a recommendations section and within that have seperate sections for Camping, B&B's Hotels etc etc this would take up far less space on the main forum but all the rele...

Re: touring idea
Personally I think that is a very good idea.
Perhaps try to break it down into Countries / Areas to keep things simple to find

Re: Electrics shutdown when I press start button
Sounds to me like a dead battery. Just because it's new doesn't mean it will be fully charged.
Hopefully it's that simple

Don't forget that the thicker the board the harder it will be to get on the mainstand.

Re: Indoor bike cover
If it's for use inside a garage or shed etc. I use a clean painters dust sheet. Keeps the general crap off the bike, easy to throw over and cheap as chips from Screwy (or similar)

Re: Would you feel safe?
The concept seems to be good.
I think, because it's an unknown, being wary is a natural reaction. It would be interesting to know what safety standards it can meet.
I imagine it would be a great asset to 1st aiders in the event of an accident.

Re: 2023 Active Cruise Control Question
Think this is a good summary:-) You have 3 levels of adjustment on the RT system, distant, more distant and a long way back In reality the factory settings are, extremely close, very close and close. I asked my dealer whether the distances could be increased because at motorway speeds the maximum s...

Re: 2023 Active Cruise Control Question
I think that will depend on how "tight" the stagger is. If you are not too far out from his line the radar will pick him up and keep you constant. However if the stagger is fairly loose then the radar will not catch him and if your speed is set to faster than he is travelling yu will ease ...
