Re: Fuel Stabilizer

I like the Sta-Bil 360 Marine (ethanol treatment and stabilizer). This worked well for my previous boats as I would add the specified 1 oz. per every 10 gallons of fuel in my topped-off gas tank at end of season. Then would run the engines for a few minutes to get the treatment in the fuel lines. N...

Good logical read; thank you David for the excellent oil drain-down explanation.

Re: New Member from Pacific NW

Hey Calico, I also am a firm believer whatever works for riding in HEAT!! Years ago, a couple of people I rode/toured with would also fill up their camelback bladders from ice machines at a quick stop, (with permission). I live in western Washington state and now I'm thinking about buying a camelbac...

Re: Optimate 4-CANBUS.. or

Thanks for all the replies, it's very much appreciated. My plan is now to use pigtail connectors to the battery for use with the trickle charger of my choosing. The last Harley I bought new was a 2014 Dyna with a partial CANBUS system, and there was no mention in owner's manual of requiring a specia...

Optimate 4-CANBUS.. or

Hello, I'm a newby here and have a simple question about battery maintainers. My question is: 'Is there something special' about using a special charger/maintainer for BMW's later model Canbus computer system? I was reading about the Optimate 4 CANBUS which is a 1 amp battery maintainer/slow charger...

Re: New Member from Pacific NW

It looks like you done good with her, congratulations! So either that picture was taken many years ago or you are a very young man? I'm old and my wife is also old; I've got no young G/F so I'm sorry I can't reciprocate with a pic.

Re: New Member from Pacific NW

To avoid lightheadedness, I also carry some potassium pills to replace electrolytes lost with the sweat.  I also recommend a cooling vest/mesh jacket along with a cooling neck tie.. just a short water soak and they do work well for a couple of hours. Oh, and I'd ask for a picture of your G...

Re: New Member from Pacific NW

Welcome from across the pond. Jackronner is right, we do still deal in proper imperial mpg,  Us older guys never converted to litres and kilometres -we leave that to the kids and the guys and gals over the English Channel. ;D LOL, thank you sir. I only understand foot and inch pounds on my...

Re: New Member from Pacific NW

Thank you sir. My previous RT was an awesome bike but only rode it for about 1000 miles due to severe pain from my hip while lowering my right leg from foot-peg to ground. I remember that bike as being the best riding bike I ever owned so decided on appreciating another one while I'm still able. I'...

Hello, I just picked up a Dark Blue used 2013 RT a couple days ago and love it. Finding this active forum board that is specific to the beemer RT model was a very pleasant surprise! I've owned a 2009' RT for a very short time in 2012/13 and loved it as well but had to part ways with it due to my bad...
