Re: Removal of front abs speed sensor

Ok quick update
That was some tight sensor. Good job I am replacing with a new one as I had to smash the thing to get it out.
I think the alloy coating has corroded a bit and wedged it in there. The new one is going in with a good smear of grease.

Removal of front abs speed sensor

Hi all
Trying to remove the front sensor. Undone small screw. Try pushing and pulling but won’t budge. Is there a secret clip.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Farkle

It has alternately been described as a mix of the words “function” and “sparkle,”
Like sprinkling glitter all over to make one’s bike sparkle.

Re: Finally happened “fuel gauge “

Hi corker 203 Looks like we’re all in the same boat. Can’t believe that even putting a new gauge in is no guarantee it will stay working. Come on BMW sort it out. Had a year of no problems with it, and got caught out on the side of the road at night. Wasn’t nice It’s like a ticking time bomb Interes...

Re: Fuel gauge strip

I also have a 2011 which ran out of with 90 miles showing on the gauge. So don’t know if I have a strip or float.
I’am watching closely to see the best fix for this.
As I’m reading everything seems like a temporary or unreliable fix even with a new part.
So is this true Bmw has a new new part?

Finally happened “fuel gauge “

Hi all Last night set out to do a two hour journey with a fuel gauge saying 90 miles left in the tank. 10 miles into it and the bike just died, rang the AA for them to tell me I have ran out of fuel. Felt like a right plank. My question to you good people is what route do I go down Buy a new fuel st...

Re: Right turn signal lights not working

Hi Just a quick update. Switch arrived and fitted today. All works fine. Just a little niggle though. The switch arrived with new plastic, but not the small piece that covers the cable where the cable enters. Phoned dealers up, they said I should use the old one. I said for that money you can’t even...

Re: Right turn signal lights not working

Thanks guys for the straight up advice. Took off the switch again to see if it was a bad contact (had my fingers crossed, no change) and to see if i could replace it, seems easy enough. I rang Bmw at Alton to see if there was any chance that they would waiver a new switch. They said i would have to ...

Hazards work and left indicator works fine. Have taken connectors out of left switch unit and sprayed with wd40 still nothing. Be ...
