Top Hat?
Been reading another forum and some posts mention having their bike Top Hat. But none say what this is or how it works. I have a feeling this is for older carb bikes. What is it?

Re: French clean air certificate (Crit'Air)
I bought one for my 2018 when I first bought the bike about 18 months ago, then decided on a new screen… foolishly I thought that I’d inform the French somehow and get a replacement sticker easily - wrong - you have to fill the whole form in again as if you’ve never already done it. It’s not a big ...

Re: Gearing up for my last best bike. Strongly considering the RT. What says you?
I've owned many BMW bikes over the years some i racked with mega milage. I used to be a London bike Courier on an R80RT IRC i sold that with 110000 miles on the clock. An oil change now and then, no real servicing at all and it never let me down. Apart from a Shaft UJ on a K75 ive never had anything...

Re: French clean air certificate (Crit'Air)
After 4 days of searching and frustration ive found the info. Typically on a German website 2007 bike is Euro 3. The NOx is 0.038 where the maximum is 0.15 for Euro 3. CO2 is 111.4 CO2 g/km As none of these details are printed on my V5 my bike and I wanted to travel to London now the TFL wants £15 t...

Re: French clean air certificate (Crit'Air)
I contacted BMW who told me i need to buy a certificate of conformity for the CO2 and Euro classes. They want loads of money for that. I asked couldn't they just tell me over the phone their answer was NO.

Re: Anyone have experience with retrofitting a police rtp radio box on a regular RT
What ive seen on YT The rack and rear seat have to be removed. I also remember about different rear seat Tupperware. There are a few videos doing the opposite conversion. Think that may be your best bet on the correct info. Inside the radio box isn't that big, Lightweight over trousers and a packet ...

French clean air certificate (Crit'Air)
Haven't applied for a french clean air certificate(Crit'Air) for a few years. I need a couple of details that are not stated on my V5. The 1st is Euro standard 1.2.3.4.5.or 6? Next is the CO2 emission. The bike is a 1200 hex, 2007 model. I've searched the web and here but can't find any info. Also, ...

Only a single horn!. Accountant cutbacks. My bike horns are much louder than on my Wife's Mini which is also fitted with twin Snail type horns.

On the Horn
Having a look around the wishbone joints this morning i notice d the bike is fitted with 2 mismatched horns. One looks like a Denali mini sound bomb/ Fiamm snail type and the other looks like a standard round M/C horn. Both work when the button is pushed. The joining link wires look professional. Is...

Re: R1200RT vs ST1300
The only Triumphs ive owned were a Tiger 1050 and a Trophy 1200. As beemerboy9 said the 1200 is a very heavy bike, most of the weight is high up in the frame. It had all the bells and whistles, the bike is more compatible with the K1200LT. The bike was 100% reliable but the killer for me was that th...

Re: R1200RT vs ST1300
What drew me back to the BMW was the character of the engine. While newer bikes like the V4 are ultra smooth and quiet they have no character and that's the biggest problem with newer bikes they are just too sterile, the same goes for new cars. With the Boxer, it lets you know there's an engine in t...
