Re: fairing power socket
It's a Keis V501RP Pro. It's not a full jacket but a body warmer. I find as long as my torso is warm I've no need for heated sleeves. I've also just bought a pair of Keis G701 gloves but they draw more at 1.6amp.

Re: fairing power socket
Had a recalculation and my jacket only draws 1.5 amps. So i should be fine. With my maths now working correctly with 5 amps i could run a pair of 40 wat spots with ease.

Does anyone know the max watts or amps that the power socket can cope with before tripping the Canbus?

Re: Hand guards on r1200rt
Now you have posted pictures i can see there not bulking at all. I spotted ones just like them on flee bay very much like them. They were about £20 from good old China. They seem to be Barkbuster rip off's. Agree with TJRL regarding Full Muffs. That's is one of the reasons i don't like them. Ok on l...

Extra brake lamp.
Hi, I want to fit an extra brake lamp under the number plate. It's a 2007 model. The lamp is LED and am thinking of tapping into the rear light wires. Will the cambus be affected each time i brake?. I've never fitted extra lights on a cambus bike before so i thought of asking the knowledgeable peopl...

rear brake pads 1200 2007
Just replaced my rear brake pads with EBC HH pad. I know BMW recommends standard sintered pads on the rear but i like the feedback from the HH pads. One question i have is why is one pad thicker than the other?. I've contacted EBC and they inform me i have the correct pads but the person couldn't ex...

I've been told you have to be a full time resident to register a vehicle to a private person. Must have proof of residency. This is needed for insurance as well. I was told this years ago so worth a check to see if it's changed since

Re: MCE insurance
Strange, if you go to their site you can still get a quote. I was with them but changed to Carol Nash at the start of the month. My home insurance company went bust a couple of years back. It was 8 months into the policy. Lost years no claim and it took over a year to get my remaining money back. So...
