Lamps fitted as an extra do not come under the MOT rules as long as you can switch them off independently.

For the record and future reference, battery voltage checks were completed today. The battery was fully charged and allowed to rest before performing any tests. 1) Resting voltage with ignition off = 12.37 V. (This may be a little low). 2) Battery charger connected and the voltage rose to 13.56 V. ...

Re: Body Weight, Belly Size
I've just been put on a diet by the Doc. After blood tests it shows I have diabetes. I've never been a big eater but since my injury and depression the Doc tells me that some off the meds make the body put fat on. I take 26 tables a day for different problems. At the moment I am 5'9'' with a weight ...

I've got yellow fog lamps fitted to the engine guards. I've only used them in really downpours and once on a foggy morning. I believe that I was more visible in the sheet rain whilst riding home on the M4 from Gwent.

Re: What did you do today?
Took a test ride on a Rocket GT. I can see it making a great touring bike because of the Seat and handlebars and it is one of the smoothest bikes I've ridden. But there iare some big buts, my short legs were not long enough for the forward pegs and at speed the wind felt like it was trying to push m...

Re: New Mattress
Mine only gives me slight pain now and then. I've only got a small tear in my diaphragm from what I gather, so I am lucky not to be as bad as your wife.

Re: New Mattress
Because my wife suffers from a slipping hiatus hernia we we recently advised to lift the head of the bed at least 5” That's intresting. I have a Hiatus Hernia as well. Had it for about 8 years, no one to tilt the bed up. Well all they told me was ah you have a Hiatus Hernia after taking the camera ...

Rode to Bournemouth this morning to have a test ride on a Ducati Diavel. What a fantastic bike. Seating position near perfect. A roll on from third and it goes supersonic. Hold on and pray. Ducati's quality has vastly improved over the years The V4 engine is so smooth up to 6000 rev then I did feel ...

Re: Luggage
My panniers are always on. Good safe storage for my helmet and jacket when I visit places. Did try once without them and found the exhaust note louder. I do fit my top box most of the time when on a journey. I think the RT looks strange without panniers fitted. It's a touring bike so in my mind they...
