Re: What did you do today?
I bought a Mk3 Skoda Superb 1.4 hybrid back at the end of August. I last filled it up 31st December and it showed 485 miles range, 2480 miles later it's still shows 275, it's ideal for my 10 miles to work and back solely on electric, cost approx 70p a day to charge, on petrol it will still do 50mpg+

Re: Battery acts low after riding
I've had the issue with 2 different R1250RT on the same Saturday a year apart, putting a battery with a higher CCA rating seems to solve it.

Re: What do you consider lugging the engine?
On the Bikesafe day I did, the ROSPA instructor advised to keep the engine in the middle third of the rev range, it's more responsive then.

Re: Dunlop cashback
I'm saving £47 on the fitted price quoted by Sticky Stuff in Telford (Fully fitted £347 after £40 cashback). Addison Tyres in Tipton will supply Roadsmart IV front & rear for £280, deliver them down the road to BCMT who will fit them for £60, so £300 fully fitted after the £40 cashback.

I agreed to buy a 48 year old bike yesterday, a Honda CB550F2 Four, it needs some work, ie 3&4 carbs flood, replace the coils, leads & plugs, find and refit an original headlight.

A bankers draft for the full amount might work, or insist on going to your local branch of his bank and withdrawing the cash.

Re: What did you do today?
MOT's and serviced today, booked in for 08.30, I went to start the bike at 07.50, nothing, no life whatsoever. Plugged the Optimate into the din socket, not charging. Tried a jump start power pack, turned over once then nothing. I hooked the Optimate direct to the battery and after 90 minutes the bi...
