I was just going to refresh my memory on using the cam chain tensioner tool but can’t seem to find the correct video which uses the oe bmw tool ?. From memory I think you slide on the sleeve, screw the tensioner in all the way until seated then insert the pinned knurled part and turn clockwise until...

This is strange, as my 1250RT looks fine from the rear end. As you can see from the photo i added, it all lines up. You can see the photo was taken square on. I would not of known about this if it was not for this thread. Unless it’s my eyes yours doesn’t line up perfectly either 🤔 although without...

Ah ok! I had the engine off when trying to calibrate for the first time with a pretty flat battery.....its winter here and bike has been sitting for a long time in a basement. I bought an Optimate 4 charger, wish I had a long time ago, really nice piece of gear! thanks for all the help here...... g...

Sadly I cannot answer your question but it was one of the first things I noticed on my 2019 1250. I try not to look now as I do have some ocd !. I tried realigning the mudguard a little but then it doesn’t look right with the panniers.
I really can’t think of any reason for this :?:
