Re: Liquid noticed under the bike at a filling station

Thanks - some good suggestions. It was completely dry that day and I'd been out for an hour or two (it hasn't rained in the UK for around a month either) so I can probably rule out water from washing the bike / rain etc. I'll keep an eye out for it every time I park up from now on, see if I can see ...

Liquid noticed under the bike at a filling station

2021 R1250RT - at a filling station after a reasonably sprited ride, I pulled up onto the side stand, my pillion passenger got off, then me, and I opened the fuel filler cap to add some unleaded. My partner claims to have noticed some fluid exiting below the bike, maybe a small wine glass amount or ...

Re: I've returned to the fold with a new RT

Looking good If its connected to power then lift the rear seat and disconnect the power first Then open the top box and look under the carpet and you will see a big dial in the middle slide the unlock tab and twist it then you are free to lift it off Thanks - didn't realise there was power; I guess...

I've returned to the fold with a new RT

I sold my 1200RT a couple of years ago for a Triumph Tiger 900 which was some fun but neither a very competent tourer nor enough of a "throw it round the lanes" for 100 miles bike. So then I bought an R12 NineT when that was announced - I had an original R NineT around 10 years ago and it ...

DaveCly wrote: Mon Feb 17, 2025 7:04 pm There was one for sale on EBay last week, but it could well have been that one, as I can’t find it now, mileage was quite low, and wanted just under £9k if I remember right ?

I’ve had mine from new, and still love it 👍
Yep, probably the same one - £8990 and around 10k miles.

Ahh well :-)

UK: WTB 2016+ R1200RT or 1250RT

Ideally less than around 12k miles but well looked after. Gadgets and mods welcome if not too intrusive, but more interested in things like Hill Start control and TPMS or central locking. Would consider one with just panniers, but ideally a full luggage set would be preferable. I'm located in Glouce...

I just missed out on buying a beautiful Iconic today

I'm looking to get an RT (I had one a few years ago and want another now), and saw a gorgeous Iconic in an advertisement last night, but when I rang the dealer this morning to negotiate he was already dealing with someone in the actual showroom. Dealer rang me back a couple of hours later to tell me...

SOLD - Givi XS307 Tankbag for sale for R1200RT including locking ring

Finally I have a Givi XS307 tank bag for sale, with the Givi locking ring system. Works really well for refuelling, easy to pop the bag off. The bag has seen some use but otherwise is in good order. I've included the 4 screws supplied with the locking ring kit. Good little day bag, that expands to 1...
