Was not a fan of the factory mirrors on my '22 RT. Got adapters for the clutch/brake clamp to allow more standard mirrors, and turned the factory mirrors all the way out for something of blind spot coverage.

That's what I ended up doing. Got a used Pixel 5 and buy a cheap pre-paid data plan if I think I'll want data during a trip. Otherwise I just update it at home/hotel using wi-fi or my regular phone's hotspot.

Seems others are having more success than me. ... It would seem that some have got theirs working fine but I wonder what model, software version, phone type or other actions they are taking. I believe Android phones tend to have more success with the TFT connection. I have used a Samsung Note 20 Ul...

Unless you have keyless ignition. I have to turn off the ignition to unlock the fuel cap.

The R1250RT requires a smartphone for GPS/Mapping and navigation. Yes I have keyless. I'm going to search for that shielding firm.
