Re: Rear panniers...Are they really rubbish??

I've done thousands of miles with these panniers on three different bikes and find them great  Get a set of cheap pannier liners off the bay, I've had the original ones but they were about £200+, and the ones I now have were about £50 and just make is so easy to carry your kit to the hotel roo...

Re: BMW Connected Ride Sat Nav

Welcome to the forum buddy, stick in a couple of pictures so we can see what you have and mean, I've got a newer RT with the TFT, but I've had several K1600s with both the nav V and VI which both fitted in the same space - I'm not 100% sure if they are the same fitting on the RT 1200 though?

No idea with it's called, but mine had it done about a month ago, and I can't say there was any difference, although it all worked fine before anyway

Just run it for a while and see if anything stands out ;)

Re: Additional Mirrors on my 2023 RT "Video"

Just seen this, I can't help but think it's overkill all the stuff you have going on and potentially confusing, I've managed fine for thousands of miles with the stock stuf, and there is no doubt things can be improved, but 6 mirrors and a phone with a MPH app

Re: Trade in price

It's hit and miss, if they have other RTs in stock they will low ball you as they don't really want another, but you can also check if there are any BMW deals available - I got an extra grand on a bike a few years ago as a BMW promotion offering £1000 on top of any trade in on a new bike. You may al...

Re: Possible Server Move

It's not a lot to help the site keep going, you only have to get one decent deal, a bit of useful information, a pointer to better insurance - the list goes on, but you will have your £20 back again and again

I didn't even realise there was a subscription option, so you have one new subscription for the next 12 months

Re: Latest Nav6 fixed ?

I think this is an issue with all sat naves, several have settings like "windy roads", which sounds great for a bike, until your doing under 20 on a single track for an hour and only cover 10 miles  The fastest route option is fine for "normal" roads and areas, but where we...

Re: RT handling

I can't say I've ever noticed this and mine is on PR4s??

It may be an individual bike thing?

Anyway, glad your sorted, tyres can make a massive different to handling.

Re: ok friends i am really worried about my safety

I'm not someone to be able to answer this TBH, but at that age and milage I'd be replacing it if at all financially possible. Nothing last forever, and a bike with that wear and tear is probably at the end of so many of it's components life it would be better to put it into a BMW specialist and ask ...

Re: Greetings from Aberdeenshire

Hi Jesim1 Thank you for the welcome. I'm around 35 miles north west of Aberdeen and always a room available, secure garage and good home cooking. I plan 3 or 4 weekend trips each year around Scotland and you'd be more than welcome. I've got 44 years this year on 2 wheels and had a multitude of diff...

Re: Greetings from Aberdeenshire

Welcome to the forum - do you have a spare room in the summer? Dig in and enjoy, I know I'm not as young as I used to be, and the RT is a good half way house between sports and touring. Lets be honest here, half the guys on a sports bike could not keep up with someone half decent on an RT, and...
