Re: BMW used approved warranty

I recently (20th March) had new header pipes fitted. Bike booked in for 18,000 service, first mot and two tyres. Some days before the engine light had come on a couple of times, but cleared upon restart, so just mentioned it when booked in. Then got a call to say that the cause was the exhaust flap ...

Re: Adaptive cruise control

I have it and like it when I have used it.
Although don't have the need for it a lot of the time on normal UK roads, motorways if not excessively busy I find it very useful.

Re: Location of Can-Bus Plug

Hi, Done exactly the same thing on a 2021 RT. Looking down in front of the tank on left hand side (as when sat on bike) just under the bottom of the cubby hole, you will see some wiring all clipped in. Amongst that you should also see a blanked off connector (black), cabled tied to the loom. Careful...

Re: plastic emergency key

I have a small zipped coin purse! That has another small zipped pocket on the side. Plastic key fits nicely in there, and I keep the purse in my jacket pocket!!

Re: What did you do today?

Made the most of the weather before back to work tomorrow! 190 mile (5.5 hrs) round trip to Bala Lake using mainly minor/A roads. Pretty quiet and beautiful ride out! Flask of coffee and a turkey sandwich by the lake!

Re: Updated BMW App maps

Don't quite know what's going on with the connected app! Had another update the other day to find it was reinstalling all my maps again! Out on a ride on Sunday, but still getting the maps changing scale on the tft screen. No issue with the speed indication, but did notice when got home that it is n...

Re: Updated BMW App maps

My short trip yesterday seemed to show all correct in the app afterwards, showed the average and max speed, the same as before.

Updated BMW App maps

Went out yesterday and was disappointed to find the map not working very well through the TFT screen. I personally have never had a connection or map issue since I have had the bike! Trying to solve the issue when I got home to find my maps were updating on the app. Didn't think much about till went...

Newcomer from Cheshie

Finally got round to this bit! Finally back on bikes after 27 years out due to bike accident.
