RT’s Fuel Capacity

Hello Yesterday, due to circumstances, I needed to run the RT about 30 to 35 miles pass the zero miles left of fuel. Well today I was able to get 6.6 gallons of gas into the tank. The internet says that the tank holds 25 liters, which is 6.6043 gallon. Which left me .0043 gallons when I arrived at t...

I’m a relatively new member and your discussion about the windshield bracket is interesting. Can it not be welded? Welcome aboard to the forum.

Re: Best All Around Tire For The RT

Hello

Ordered a set of Michelin Road 6 GTs today from the local motorcycle shop. I paid $520 and they will in the shop next Tuesday or Wednesday. Thought you fellows might be interested in what things cost in US. I will let you know how the tires are after I have them on for awhile.

Best All Around Tire For The RT

Hello

Just checked the RTs tires and not looking good! What do you fellows recommend for the RT? I have Michelin 5 GTs on it now and they only have 7500 miles and the best I could find was 3/16” of rubber @ the wear bars. A little gun shy with Michelin now.

Re: What other sports do you prefer?

I enjoy golf and shooting sporting clays. I’m in a local golf league and play one night week. The sporting clays I usually shoot with my son and grandson. The grandson is in college now, so the shooting has slowed down.

Re: Centre stand security

This seems like a good idea to stop the normal run of the mill creep.

Re: ACC and Gear Shift Assistance Pro Deactivation???

I have a R 1250RT which is a 2022 model and when I disengage the cruise control I turn the throttle forward or hit brake or clutch levers. The throttle was quite stiff turning it forward in CC when the bike was new. It is freeing up now as it gets older. I have never tried shifting down with out usi...

Re: Our Other Bikes

Hello My second bike is a Triumph Tiger 800 dual sport 2015. I brought this bike, because when I rode my Suzuki 650 V-Strom to tour Alaska ten years ago, l thought it was a great bike in Alaska, but needed more power to get you there and back on the highways. I rode the Tiger to Labrador a few years...

Re: Your best R1200/1250 Pic

Hello This picture is my first ride on the Dragon Tail with the new BMW R1250RT. This is my favorite picture of the RT, and it was taken by camera crews setting along the road at the best curves and selling the photos online for $7. Well, as for the RT I was a little disappointed on the Dragon Tail,...

Re: 2023 Active Cruise Control Question

I have a R 1250rt 2022 and use the cruiser control quite often in active control. I have never ridden in a staggered formation with the RT. From my experience with the RT, I think the system will pickup the adjacent motorcycles and will prevent it from working correctly. When l’m riding in a close q...

Re: Tenequip New Member

Hi Replies to your recent comments: Yes, the Trophy is top heavy compared to the RT. I think the RT has the best overall balance of all the motorcycles I have ridden. As for wind protection, the Trophy has the best wind protection, but in the summer on hot days it is too good. As for the ride, the j...

Hi Everyone Just joined your forum after replacing my Triumph Trophy SE with a new 2022 BMW 1250 RT back in April. I have a little over 6700 miles on the RT now and I’m liking it. Looking forward to learning about my RT from you fellows in this forum. I also, have a Triumph Tiger 800 duel sport and ...
