Re: Fuel error

The quality of the gasoline varies here in the states, which directly affects gas mileage and type of riding. As stated earlier the RT is constantly calculating the current gas mileage. I have experienced increased miles per tank of 20 to 30 miles and also loses of 10 to 20 miles. Type of riding, su...

RedBaron
Welcome aboard! I see you have owned all sizes and kinds of bikes. I owned a 1800 Goldwing a couple bikes back and now have had my RT for two years. I have been happy with the RT and it is a lot like the Goldwing, bullet proof.

Re: Questions for our states members

Doc To reply to your questions: 1. Not true, I was raised in a farm house well over one hundred years old. No one lives there anymore more and I visit it occasionally and it is not haunted. 2. Never seen him, only poor quality magazine pictures. I don’t think he exists. 3. We have the same rules abo...

Re: Front Tire Wear 2018 R1200RT

It seems you have a problem with your front wheel, assuming your back tire is not doing the same thing. I see some others here have mentioned looking at the bearings and races which is correct. I would check to see if the wheel is running straight. Put the bike on the center stand and spin the front...

Re: Who locks their bikes up for the winter?

I don’t lock my bike down during winter, but do keep it in my barn. I keep it on a battery charger and the antifreeze down to minus 10 degrees F. Also, have a few rules, which are no riding in snow and ice, 45 degrees F is my general lower limit for prolong riding, and no riding on heavily salted ro...

Re: Heated Grips

Yes, there is a fuse for the grip heaters, but it didn’t cause the problem and probably saved you from major problems with your electrical system. Suggest you find the fuse for the grips and see if it is burnt out or not. Replace the fuse if burnt out and put your grips on lowest setting and try the...

Re: How do I cancel route in map mode?

Went and took a look at the bike. This what you need to do: go to navigation mode, select “active route guidance “ by pushing the left handle grip selector to the right, then select “end route guidance” by pushing selector to the right. This should end the route.

Re: How do I cancel route in map mode?

Enter navigation mode on bike and select end current route. I’m not on my bike now but I suggest you pan down through the commands in navigation mode and and set up the navigation as you want.

Sounds like you have air in the brakes. You need to bleed the brakes.

Motorrad GPS Volume

Recently had the RT’s 12,000 mile service done and the computer software was updated. Well since then, the media volume is much better, but the guidance volume from the GPS is bearly audible. Can’t find a way to adjust the volume of the GPS. Is there a way to increase the directional volume of Motor...

Re: Help needed! Motorrad App with Cardo Spirit comms

Matt Just had the 12,000 mile service on my bike and they updated the bike’s computer. The update did two things that I noticed, the volume is louder, more controllable, and the phone & headset need to be “re-paired”afterwards. The guidance volume from the GPS is lighter and difficult to heard. ...

Re: Workshop Manual - Tick

Just had the the 12,000 mile service on my 1250rt and the valves were in spec., but exhausts were at the limit. You may have a couple out of spec. and thus the noise. I suggest you relax until after the service and everything will be fine.

Re: Hand grip aftermarket

Correction to my earlier post: Noticed that everyone is using soapy water when they install the grips, I use the liquid soak straight up no water added. Never had any trouble getting the grips with the liquid soap straight up.
