Re: New 1250 RT LE

Congratulations on your new bike! I have no tips other than what your manual will tell you. I have only had two brand new bikes and there were in the early 80's, strangely enough I found the rusted, dented tank from one of them in my dads shed a couple of weeks ago.

Re: WindShield Washers & Battery Strap

A quick couple of questions. Cleaning up my new to me R1250 2019 I took the screen off. It is the BMW original standard screen. I noticed that it looks like the previous owner has over tightened the screws as three of the holes have stress cracks 😳 so new screen incoming I guess. The question is ar...

Just don't forget to install the windscreen wipers 🤣
Dry is the real reason I wanted one - I had a GL1800 a few years back that the previous owner had installed a manually operated wiper! Typical that you want rid or your screen after I buy a new one ;)

Re: Vstream Z2350on 2014+

I had the Wunderlich Marathon arrive today, fitted and a quick spin out and I agree about the distortion but I can put up with it for the way it keeps the airflow off my shoulders. The big test will be how much rain it diverts around me. I bought the bike with the silly sports screen that diverts al...

Re: Been papped!!

We were snapped by some geezer in Wales last week or maybe the week before, I think it was somewhere near the Horseshoe pass and that Ponderosa place which we stumbled upon by accident but we didn't stop.

Re: Prospective new 1250RT owner

Just joined as I am thinking of upgrading my K1300GT to a new 1250RT LE. Any advice welcomed on do's/don't and features worth having, or not. Having a test ride tomorrow. Hello and welcome, in January I traded my 12plate K1600GTLE in for a 20plate R1250RTLE after being given one as a loan bike whil...

Re: What did you do today?

My mate Had a Puch Maxi. He was able to keep up with my Fizzy. As he lived on the 12th floor here used to that it up in the lift. Life was so simply back then. I bought one from a supermarket noticeboard for £50 quid in the 90's and didn't take it seriously enough. it ended up as a field bike and I...

Re: BMW R 1200 RT Lowered Seat (off a 2018 bike)

Hi there - Someone has just placed a bid on it on eBay - was that you? The fairest thing to do would be to let the auction run its course. I think they are about £400 new - so I'd be looking for around half of that. https://bmw.europe-moto.com/gb/seats-moto-bmw-motorrad/8052-bmw-low-driver-seat-hea...

Re: What did you do today?

I went to look at a W reg Puch Maxi today as an excuse to get some miles on a bike I'm running in after a top end conversion. I'm on the look out for an old two stroke but everyone seems to think they can charge a gold pig for something your dad would have put out by the bins for the scrapman. There...

Re: Anyone bought a bike without a test ride

I bought my current RT without test riding the actual bike itself because I'd been lent the demo RT when my K1600 was in for service in December. Then it was just waiting for the right RT to show up with the top box and without all the radio gubbins.
