Re: “Is it me”

When It does come up for sale, probably next year it "will" be described as truly excellent with genuine low mileage and very good service history. Is it next year yet??? That’s really good information and thanks, yup I know one will come up, just that patience isn’t my strongest point. T...

Re: “Is it me”

Thanks and you are right. Thing that is getting me is there just seems to be few private sales compared to dealers. Maybe it’s the way it is now. Authorised BMW dealers warranty won’t cover as the 12/13 is just out of their 10 year thing, or that’s what the three dealerships I’ve just rung up have t...

Re: “Is it me”

Thanks again everyone

Think I am overthinking again, I do that a lot.

Post servo brakes is a great tip and thanks.

When I was younger I thought I would probably give up biking when I got to 70, but when I reached 70 I just got a newer bike instead… :-D
That did make me laugh

Cheers

Re: “Is it me”

Thanks everyone Some great tips and I will certainly keep an eye on the suggested sites. From what I can gather around 5k seems as you say tops for the private sales. Based on everything I think I am right in saying that a 2012 or 2013 is the best to shoot for and that is what I am going to do. But ...

“Is it me”

So it looks like after much deliberation that I will be getting an R1200RT, all my research and the kind guidance on here is definitely steering me that way. I’ve got Saturday at the Stafford show just to make sure, again thanks so much, then I will start hunting in earnest. I suppose what I am aski...

Re: Hi from Gods waiting room

Ian T, I'll be at Stafford on the Saturday with my R1250RT, if you want to try it for size. Glen that is fantastic and thank you so much. I will pm you my number and can be at the bike park anytime you want, would that be ok? That is exactly why I’m going so great stuff and thanks again. Cheers Ian...

Re: Hi from Gods waiting room

Again thanks David fabulous help. I am going to try and check out that MSP tomorrow and see if it comes up legit and take it from there. Damn cheap price though. I echo you caution. I totally agree with you about achieving the height reduction in many ways. I’ve had to do it on many many bikes. Now ...

Re: Hi from Gods waiting room

Thanks again David That’s the look I’m going for, nice to know it is achievable, that’s all I really wanted to establish before I go ahead and get one. I think I will be going for a 12/13 plate and I am wondering if those comfort seats come up very often, I certainly haven’t seen any in my insane go...

Re: Hi from Gods waiting room

Mine is Scottish as well but I once asked my mum why I didn’t have two I’s she told me that when I was born she wanted to make it as simple as she could for me. Never did get that

Re: Hi from Gods waiting room

Thanks again David Thanks saved me a few quid,I was going to get it then use it on me bike. Sorry to harp on about this but it’s just frying my poor simple brain. The twin cam say for arguments sake, 2013/13 plates has two height adjustments at the front, yes? Plus there are three seat options as yo...

Re: Hi from Gods waiting room

Hi Iain. I am much more simple I’ve only got one I. Hi David No the seat I sat on today was a single, separate from the rear. I suppose that’s what the showroom was calling it but no way of knowing. I get exactly what you are saying about the alterations so thanks for that. Great stuff. The seat on ...

Hi from Gods waiting room

Hi everyone Just joined, thought I would say hello. I have a K75S and have had so for about fifteen years so I thought it was about time for a change. Decided on a R1100RT, or an 1150RT or the 1200RT. I think I am nearly decided on the R1200RT and it seems most people are steering me towards a 2013/...
