I just Googled it. Are shaping points just a Garmin thing? I think I saw that Garmin allowed about 125 shaping points per route.

What’s the difference between a shaping point and a waypoint?

Now I’m really confused.

I confess that I don’t know what shaping points are. Is that where you indicate no toll roads, use fastest route, etc.?

What is the maximum # of waypoints that a corrected connected TFT/cell phone/BMW Motorrad can handle?

I see that on a 1250 GS the Navigation VI manual states that the unit can hold 29 waypoints and the final destination. I am hoping the RT handles more.

Can and would someone please point me to a detailed description of the various wireless connections between the 1250 RT TFT, a smart phone (especially an iPhone), and a Sena equipped helmet?
