Re: Luggage

I was pleased to pick up a low mileage 1200RT-P affordably, figuring I was an area day tripper only. The lean look, bulk and weight suited my aspirations. It has so far also been just right for how I use "Leo". However, plans change ... I am now considering some overnighters and possible 3...

Re: Personalised Number Plates

I just came up with a theme and couple of possibles for naming my '76 Airhead...
but I don't think I could stand to use them...

Re: Tank Bags

I have a BMW tank bag that was supposed to fit Leo, but I need to fabricate both front and rear brackets for the straps to hook to. I decided "not now". With the Tupperware off, I mounted a drink holder. It was challenging to find an out-of-the-way place that would also be handy for quick ...

Re: What did you do today?

I was coming down home stretch in the LEO (ex patrol bike) Tupperware reassembly after finally restoring low beams, eagerly anticipating putting some miles on the highway eater when Missy said, "Nice day for a ride" ... exactly what I was thinking, until she went on to say, "I mean ME...

Re: Personalised Number Plates

I have not thought of a meaningful personalized plate since I put this on my 'breathed-on' 1956 Porsche 356A Speedster: https://www.teddunlap.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Excellence-February-1997-p106.jpg I suppose I could, but simply have not. The downside, considering how I drive, is that a memo...

Re: 2010-2013 RT

When preparing to buy my patrol bike, I was told to keep my old R1150 if I needed a passenger seat. The salesman said it was a $4,000 bill to change the cop setup into a normal RT.

09 R1200RT-P low beam AWOL

I went through the Tupperware removal maze to replace my low beam bulbs. Unfortunately, they still shed no light. Then I resorted to the very little research it took to find there are no fuses. It is probably a computer controlled fault. Crumb! How to I approach getting low beams and/or running ligh...

Welcome to the RT forum.

A couple of things I am interested in - probably not alone in this.

Whereabouts are you?

Re: Please help me pick next bike

I picked up an extremely-low mileage 2009 R1200RT-P (patrol version). I'm guessing it was the exclusive steed of the supervising patrol sergeant and got traded in with the rest of the fleet when they aged out. Anyway, it is a lovely bike, though I now would prefer having the side cases and passenger...
