Re: Con or Not
I suppose that the one good thing is that with a direct bank transfer, once completed, cannot be reversed.
All you have to worry about is whether the funds are coming from a genuine account.
Cash is king, but you have to inspect every note.

Re: Con or Not
It's a strange one.
All I can think of is that the purported "buyer" has stolen an identity.

Re: Bike friendly hotels
Motorcycle Loft Hotel in Groenedijk, Holland
Only a few private rooms - mostly dormitory type accommodation.
Basic, cheap place to stay, but a useful location at the beginning or end of a longer trip.
Live bands on at selected dates.

Re: Top box inner bag and lid bag - unused
Thanks for sorting the bag out for me, Mike - I found your workplace with no problem. Once your colleague remembered why I was there, it was plain sailing.

Re: iron butt challenge cancelled
The people who come in the top 10 finishers in the BritButt Rally tend to ride around 1100 to 1400 miles in the 36 hours available, with a compulsory minimum of 4 hours sleep time, so well within the capabilities of someone who has done the Royal British Legion 1000 mile in 24 hrs run. You just have...

Re: New (to me) RT owner
I'm making a little progress. I tried flashing the lights 3 times, and yes, the spots strobe for a few seconds. Had no idea they could do that. Nothing happens re brightness, though, when I turn the wonder wheel, but to be honest, the spots are on all the time and it suits me to just leave them as t...

Re: New (to me) RT owner
I'll have a try today to get connected to both systems. I'm not the world's best with this high tech stuff, though.
Are you going to the Iron Butt Jamboree this weekend, Captain? If so, I will pick your brains there.

Re: iron butt challenge cancelled
I am the Rallymaster for the IronButt UK's 36 hour BritButt Rally. I ride all over Scotland, Wales & England checking out bonus locations for the rallies - getting the lat/longs, making sure the location is suitable, getting the photograph etc., then putting them all together in the rallybook an...

Re: New (to me) RT owner
If all else fails I will take it to my (independent) techie and he can sort it out. Spanners are not my friends, and electrickery even less.

Re: New (to me) RT owner
I clearly have a lot to learn. I am leaning towards wiring a socket direct to the battery, and as you say, it would be useful for other things, too. I will take my phone nearer to the bike and see if it can detect a wi fi signal & take it from there. I had no idea you could get the Denali's to d...

Re: New (to me) RT owner
Thank you all for the welcome. I'm loving the bike, but there are a few things I need to figure out with the tech. It has forward & rear cameras fitted, with an Innov box under the saddle, but I have no idea how to access the product at the moment. It also has an EZCan box under the saddle, whic...
