Re: Con or Not
So i am selling my car and put it on eBay. Today the wife and i went out and did 150 miles in it. When we got home i said to her that i'm not going to sell it. Well when i was working on the top box i got a call about the car. I said to the guy that i changed my mind and was going to keep it. When ...

Re: What did you do today?
Today, I learned that tinkering with BMW's is totally different to tinkering with Kawasaki's or Honda's. In a good way.😊 Ebony still managed to present the odd 'challenge', but over-all things weren't nearlyvas difficult as I had feared. Dropping the sides off the fairings & getting them back on...

Re: G'Day from WA (Western Australia)
Thanks Mate.
Too late! It seems I've already done that.
But I'm thinking of it as an investment in my personal safety, the bike's security, & my enjoyment, so it's all good.
Plus, I don't have anyone to question my decisions, so I can't get it wrong.

Re: Wiring spots via auxiliary socket
Apparently there is a factory socket on the left behind the front side fairing thats for the spots Hey Stu, Is this socket accessible from under the seat or do you need to start removing fairing panels to get to it? I have an innate fear of removing fairing panels as my previous experiences in this...

Re: CarPlay Lite C5 Motorcycle GPS Wireless Carplay/Android review
There was nothing else in the box, but I'm hoping they will come back with something like that or a smaller unit. Everything is through emails so it's a slow process.

Re: Hex EzCan
Funnily enough my Denali Mini Sound Bomb went through a phase doing this. I never got to the bottom of it, but with hindsight it might have been the start of it giving notice. Within six months it'd packed up, well not stopped working, more like it just emitted an asthmatic rasping squawk. Personal...

Thanks Glen, That's moved my plan a long way forward.
I may not know exactly what I'm doing, but I at least have a point of reference to come back to.

Re: Phone compartment
Is that the one where the USB & Aux Connections live? I don't thi k I've seen a Mobile Phone that would fit in there since pre-2010.

Re: Power Source on LC
That's the connector for the auxiliary driving lights guess it won't have power try it with a volt meter if you have one Would anyone happen to have some photos of where this is, etc., please? I need to 'tap into' some auxiliary power to run my Quadlock Wireless Charger, GPS Tracking Unit...

Re: Hex EzCan
I'm starting to understand that this is all a whole lot more 'complicated' than my simple mind was prepared for. Having only recently picked my R1200RT up, & not having been able to make sense of what the Owner's Manual seemed to be saying, what I've read here is shedding more light in what I co...

Re: 2016 RT Headlight Pro Question
Day 3 of riding the 'new' R1200RT she blew the low beam bulb. It took a bit to figure out what she was complaining about, but I eventually made sense of her hieroglyphics. I figured that, seeing as I was going to change it I'd bring forward my program of replacing the headlight globes with LED's. Th...

Re: Phone compartment
OK, my first stupid question- There's a phone compartment? Where's that hiding? I managed to find the GPS Mounting Point & figure out how that should work, more or less; & located the USB & Aux Cable Connection, but haven't found a phone compartment, thus far.

Re: CarPlay Lite C5 Motorcycle GPS Wireless Carplay/Android review
I recently (yesterday) took delivery of a MotorTablet Pro Max™ BMW (2025 Model). It all sounded great & according to the sales pitch should fit straight onto the BMW Mounting System set into the 'dashboard'. But alas, it doesn’t. 🥺 It turns out that it's around 1.5cm too wide. To all intents &am...

G'Day from WA (Western Australia)
G'Day All, I recently joined the ranks of BMW R1200RT Riders in Australia, as a 'silver lining' to a my Kawasaki 1400GTR being 'written off' by would-be thieves, in my carport, on New Years Eve. I've had a long-term wish for a BMW Sports- Tourer, & after an ST100 & two 1400GTRs I pretty exci...
