Works very well mounted in map area of tankbag so it can be used and seen and protected from the weather.

Re: Keis Heated Clothing
DaygloDavid if you go for the sleeved jacket or body warmer might I suggest you find a stockist and try them on. I found the sleeved jacket too bulky under my normal winter jacket. The body warmer is far less bulky. I have also found that keeping your body core warm is sufficient. Both are excellen...

Re: Fancy a Change ?.
Switch gear is sure to look neater. Hadn't got to deal with cruise control, engine modes, ESA, Had all that. Better organised and better put together on the FJR. Only ridden an FJR once, three or four years ago. I recollect a turbine-smooth engine; constantly tooting the horn when trying ...

Re: Fancy a Change ?.
Absolutely fantastic bike, FJR 1300, had 5, the last of which was a 2014 AE, which I kept for 12 months. Like a change so now back on a 2011 RT SE. The electronics package on the new model is far superior to my TC RT as is the engine and pretty much everything else BUT there's summat about a BMW des...

Re: Retro Fit
I believe some Scala Rider Headsets include FM Radio, might be worth a look. I have a Scala Sho 1 on my Shoei Neotec and the FM radio is pretty good. Can have presets when riding around the same area or automatically tune for 6 presets in the current area. Reception varies. Can always get something...

Thanks Steve. Have a couple of boating mates not too far away in Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon. They talk funny down there don't they.

Thanks for the welcome Dayglo. You're not wrong about retirement and had a good run out today in the Peak District in beautiful sunshine. Would have been a shame to miss it for work. I live slightly south of Chesterfield not far from the Yorkshire border.

Re: North East newbie
Hi all, just found the forum and introduced myself under 'General Discussion'. Although from Derbyshire, we have a static van at Newbiggin by the Sea. One of the reasons is to use the van as a biking base to cover Northumberland and the Scottish Borders (got to be some of the best biking in the land...

Hello all. Just acquired my third RT. 11 plate, private sale with 6500 miles on the clock in midnight blue(the best colour of course). All well so far except a dodgy fuel gauge which only registers sensibly after about 70 miles. Previous to that it stays at 226 or some such. Mods to date are lowered...
