Re: Hello to you all.
Adding these auxiliary lights will help you get more noticed during the day, and really increases your illumination for night riding. This has been one of my favorite additions to my bike.

Re: I hit a pothole the other day.....
That's a real bummer!! I know because I've had it happen to me. A new wheel is very expensive, mine actually looked worst than yours and I was able to get it repaired by a wheel repair shop for $150. After the repair & paint, it looks & functions fine. My wheel ...

Re: Engine Bars - Guards
Not having to remove the engine guards for servicing the bike is a big plus!! I have the Ilium bars on my 2016RT, they're very well made with an exact fit, no struggling to install them. They'll also will fit with the BMW engine guard covers. I've had the bike tip over once and the combination of th...

Re: Spare key
On the 2016 RT, the location is directly in the middle of the instrument cluster, it's very precise where the sensor is located, otherwise it will not communicate. I've included a photo for your reference.

Re: Illium works Crash Bars
Wow, how could this add up to $3600? The video at Illium shows the bars do a great job of protecting the bike on a tip-over.

Re: 2016 Backfire when up-shifting using shift assist
I appreciate all of the feedback. This mostly happens between 2nd & 3rd gear upshifts, especially loud if I'm hard on the throttle, never when I use the clutch. David commented it maybe a software issue, which makes sense. Since I've checked the mechanical items already.&...

Re: 2016 Backfire when up-shifting using shift assist
Hello, I own a 2016Rt and when I up-shift using the shift assist, I can hear a "pop" in the exhaust, sounds like a backfire. I'm the second owner & this has been the case since I've owned the bike for over a year now. I just completed the 12k service, checked the cam timing a...

Re: Bent front wheel
I also have a bent front rim, and inquired about this at Brown Motor Works located in Pomona. As I recall, the cost was about $150 to have the rim straightened at this dealership. Brown Motor Works will out source this service. This price is removing the wheel yourself and bringing it in to them, ot...

Re: New member Introduction
Hello All, I just purchased a 2016 R1200RT, and wanted to learn more about my bike and share experiences with fellow owners. I know these forums are full of great people with useful knowledge about the bike and riding. I've rode 500 miles on this bike already in less than 1 week and I'm really enjoy...
