Re: Right angle tyre valve adapters
The fitting on the pump I purchased to keep on the bike has a screw type fitting, the pump was not expensive, will dig out info tomorrow and put a piccy up to show how easy it is to fit. I have not looked around for an after fit fitting to replace the lever type. Hope that makes sense, been a long d...

Re: Hi from England
Hi there Paul, welcome are you far from the Dales? Done about 1200 miles in the Dales over the last month, even camped overnight at the weekend. Superb riding not only on the main roads, but out on the tops on the single lane tracks hairpins gravel etc, quite a challenge at first but learning fast. ...

Re: Right angle tyre valve adapters
Get yourself a pump with a screw on fitting rather than the traditional lever type. Much easier all round IMO

Re: Panniers Falling off after a hitting a deep pothole.
Well firstly you are Ok, and hello. I am not aware of this happening, but then my experience is limited, but someone will have a more experienced view I am sure. It may well be worth revisiting the scene armed with a ruler, and take pictures of the offending hole, and putting a claim in to the appro...

Re: Cases bar protection
End of the day, it's all a matter of personal opinion. Yes they were a bugger to fit and may damage the hangers or sub frame, but isn't that what insurance is for? Life would be boring if we all rode identical machines, individuality is a good thing, hell, just look at some of the opinion...

Re: Crash bars - to be or not to be that is the question
I have no details but was recently told about someone who had experienced a cracked engine casing where a set of Wunderlich bars were attached. Was a top box fitted maybe the blame could be placed there as well !! or maybe it was because it was involved in an incident or maybe ........................

The very fact that there is debate about ABS bikes would be enough to put me off.
If the budget allows, go for a post 2010 model, better overall IMO.
good luck

Re: North Coast 500 (Scotland)
Very nice, but spent my entire working life on the road staying in hotels, airplanes, rental cars blah blah blah. so now like to enjoy the finer things in life when solo, hence m/cycle and a bit of camping when the weather is favourable. Anyway if there is enough interest...

Re: North Coast 500 (Scotland)
I've always wanted to do the north off Scotland, but not in a day! Anyone seriously interested in doing it over say 4-5 days (after arriving in Inverness). I'm also too old to be digging latrines so B&B / hotels all the way. Hi Nobby, and DaygloDavid, I would also be interes...

I have seen panniers wrapped, to mask damage, they had been wrapped with a map of the USA, looked superb, can't remember where I viewed it. :alas:

Re: Bridgestone T30 GT
Just make sure your chosen fitter knows all about your pressure sensors if you have them. The chosen fitter, (websites phrase not mine) lol, comes highly recommended from several sources within the vast circles of BMW Motorrad and other marques, but thanks for the heads up will mention it...

Re: Crash bars - to be or not to be that is the question
For me they are an invaluable addition, and blend in aesthetically with the rugged good looks of the RT and in my case it's owner. 8) Probably no use whatsoever in an off at any speed, but then the insurance is there for a reason, however in a fall over for any reason they afford good protection all...
