Re: Emissions warning

Not a good idea to start the bike and just run it for a few minutes it encourages condensation in the engine casing resulting in water in your oil.
If you are going to start your bike give it a run to get warmed through

Re: R-1250-RT Differences

Many of the parts are the same from the wet head models, the Shiftcam engine means the engine bars from the earlier ones may not fit and as you have identified the lights upper fairing, screen and instruments are different but the frame lower plastics etc should be identical. I transferred some of m...

Re: How it's changed

I hear you I started riding in the 70s and yes silly things like a Honda CB250 with 2 into 4 pipes and flat bars ( my excuse is I was still on L Plates) Now if I get on anything resembling a sports bike after about an hour I crippled. For me the RT does everything I need its quick when I want to be ...

Re: 2019 R1250 RT LE Corrosion

Hi Takes the engines around 3k to really smooth out. After 10k they are great. I had a 17 model that corroded at the points where the coating was removed during manufacture, so where they had machined the joining faces etc. that all happened within 12 months of the bike being new. the replacements w...

Re: New Member and Question

Agree it is not normal to steer when just removing your hands. Is it always steering the same way? Wobble at 70+ if you have a top box on it can induce a slight weave but for me it was going a bit more than 70 probably around 90 ish go a bit faster and it disappears. Think that is airflow related.

Re: New 1250 RT LE

Don't leave it to chug along at low revs, its not a diesel vehicle. Vary the speed /revs acceleration and deceleration using the throttle control.
Enjoy the bike, they are much more fun over about 4000 rpm

DAB Radio antenna

Hi
I am sure I have seen something on this before but cant find it

Is there a radio antenna available for the DAB radio? The reception is crap with the original equipment. Spends more time with no reception than it does actually playing a station.
I have a 2023 model

Re: What did you do today?

Starting a new job July, part time as the first stage to retirement. Had originally intended to stay with my current job for another 12 months before looking around but this one came up so I jumped at the opportunity. Expecting to drop for around 45 hrs a week to 28 hours, so more time for riding . ...
