Just had an email from the dealer I use saying the last tool I need will be in stock February 26th, that’s the cam chain tensioner tool,

Unexpected call from Cotswold bmw yesterday to say the cam alignment jigs have arrived!, half way there now just waiting on the cam chain tensioner tool

I thought the right to repair law covered all this and that they had to supply the equipment to service bikes/cars by law I’m not sure, it’ll be interesting to see what bmw uk say, they wanted the dealer name and order no which after speaking with the dealer in question I gave them. I made it clear...

I emailed bmw uk on Saturday re not being able to purchase the tools and the fact I paid £350 last December for them, I’ve heard nothing back yet.

Knee replacement
So my 56 yr old wife has to have a complete knee replacement on the 24th… not what we expected but there it is.
Is there anyone that’s had a knee replacement and can still ride pillion on the RT or indeed any bike ?. It will be the end of my biking if she can’t.

I’ve come across this many times, even had one person block my any counter offer , why they add make offer is beyond me!.

Not wishing to be rude but doi have to pay the £32 to become a member just to ask if they have the 1250 tools I’d like to hire ?.

Not a recall exactly, but if you ask your dealer about it they should change it, if not I don’t think they are to expensive to buy. If the nut head is 17mm you have the original tensioner, if it’s 19mm the updated one has been fitted.
