Found this in the right-hand side of the fairing. Seems to have a throttle cable and a load of wires going into a box. What is this?.
The other thing is a blanked-off plug with a brown and a brown/red stripe wire. This is located towards the rear of the passenger seat. What is this?.

It's a Keis V501RP Pro. It's not a full jacket but a body warmer. I find as long as my torso is warm I've no need for heated sleeves. I've also just bought a pair of Keis G701 gloves but they draw more at 1.6amp.

Had a recalculation and my jacket only draws 1.5 amps. So i should be fine. With my maths now working correctly with 5 amps i could run a pair of 40 wat spots with ease.

It's strange ive never seen this on other bikes ive owned over the years. Are there any other makes of bikes that have the same set up?

Just replaced my rear brake pads with EBC HH pad. I know BMW recommends standard sintered pads on the rear but i like the feedback from the HH pads.
