Re: LED headlamp (specific bulb question)
The high beam isn't so bad but I find its not that often that you get it on for more than a few seconds. Low beam isn't that good, but I realise others may disagree. I would happily add a set of extra lights if they will help, cost within reason is not the concern. I wondered if anybody had real wor...

Re: LED headlamp (specific bulb question)
Thanks for that, I know all the stories about LED, and I understand why, I see all these cars running around with HID conversions that dazzle everybody. I just thought that bulb kit looked the part, but hadn't considered the actual reflector would create the issue. Ok, I'll leave that, just have to ...

LED headlamp (specific bulb question)
I know the LED question has been raised many times, but I'm wondering if anybody has experience of this particular bulb, It seems like its built in a way so it may not dazzle like others do. I'm thinking about it on a 2018 RT. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Headlight-Conversion-BMW-BMW-R1200RT-R1200...

Anyway to adjust angle of Nav
So as the title says, I find the screen of the Nav 5 useless in sunlight, I had used the Nav on my 1200RS without issue but its rubbish on the RT. Is there a way of adjusting the angle? I see that the dash is adjustable? Or is it DIY job with some washers behind the mounting plate?? Oh and one other...

Thanks, I'll check that..

Re: Top box questions.
If you have central locking and the top box is unlocked, then fitting the top box and operating the central locking will prevent the top box from opening - therefore you don't "need" a key. I never lock my panniers or top box with the key, I rely on the central locking. ...

Re: Top box questions.
Thanks Tim, I'd never heard about the heating element option... As for central locking and key, I guess its my only option for now, I'll talk to the dealer when I take it for its 600 mile service about getting the old lock out and what to do from there.

Top box questions.
Hi guys, so I was lucky enough to get s second hand box for my new RT, not the right colour but hey, its already away to be sprayed. So a couple of questions, when I removed to back rest there was a wire under there, what's the for? I also found the brake light wiring under the cover, I'll be adding...

Re: What am I doing wrong, Nav 5
To clarify, I have the Nav selected and the screen shows zoom out, zoom in and pages, but when the zoom is highlighted and I flick the wheel nothing happens, the only thing that does anything is the display off function, then does what it say, off or on.

Thanks, for the replies, so its looking like it doest do any more then, its strange that when its not connected the menu disappears, but when connected the functions dont work but I guess thats to do with not having audio.

Difference between Euro 3 and Euro end cans.
Hi all, I removed the Schnitzer (Remus) can from my 2016 RS and was going to put it on my 2018 RT, I contacted Schnitzer in Germany to ask if there was a different mounting bracket but they came back to say the can cannot be used on the RT because it was Euro 4 and the RS was Euro 3. So does anybody...
