Re: RT Stripes.

Has anyone priced up having the stripes painted by a custom paint shop rather than fitting stickers/decals?

Re: Gearchange Assist

So personally I've been riding continuously for 45+ years, have been a blood bike volunteer for 4 years, ride in excess of 20,000 miles a year. So interested what actually makes a proper motorcyclist  :) I have been shifting up without the clutch long before quick shifters and gearshift as...

Re: Gearchange Assist

When I went to buy my new LC I rode two RT test bikes with quickshifters and really couldn’t see the point of it. I actually like the involvement of changing gear and getting the revs right etc. So I specced it without one and don’t regret it at all.

Re: 4 wheel drivers when filtering.

Pleased to say [size=16px][align=left]I got revenge on one of our fag-throwing friends a few years ago.  The lighted butt landed in my lap as I crept up  between the lanes to a roundabout.  As I stopped to grab it he moved, so I chucked it back from whence it came.&nb...

Re: 4 wheel drivers when filtering.

Over the many years I've been riding I've seen every kind of idiot behaviour from car drivers while bikes have been filtering. The common one is drivers closing the gap when they see you coming but I've also seen drivers throw things out the window as you pass, including lighted cigarettes, and open...

Re: Service reminder

The service date and mileage comes up on the Nav V (and presume Nav6) if you've got one. On the My Motorcycle page under status. Haha, not on most RT's unfortunately. I have tried to get to the bottom of why my 17RT and many (most?) others can't access the My Motorcycle Page on their Nav V/6's. I'v...

Re: Leathers

I wear Halvarsson leather jeans in cool/moderate weather and Rokker chinos in hot weather. Both are really high quality products which will last for years , fit really well ,and give a very high level of comfort and protection. I bought mine at Motolegends in Godalming (it's best to visit to check t...

You're right, but they really are the best for protection, quality, and fit. They even come in a presentation wooden box with a quality T shirt thrown in!

Re: First Ride Out of the Year

Glad to hear you've been able to get out on the bike. I also had a knee replacement (in Dec) and have recently been out for my first exploratory ride. It's my right knee so have no trouble changing gear and don't really use the rear brake but I try to make sure I stop on flat ground so there's no ch...
