Re: Denali CANSmart with D4's and Dm's and brake light issue

I had mine set on level #2 with the low beam on, and #10 when I go to high beam.  My buddy has his set on #4 with low beam.  Both bikes flickered.  When I switch to high beam the D4's don't flicker as far as I can tell.

Denali CANSmart with D4's and Dm's and brake light issue

I installed the Denali CANsmart controller, a set of D4's and DM's and the brake light.  Everything worked perfectly on an 1800 mile ride last week.  Today I turn the power on to move the windshield up to wash the bike (I hope they change this in the newer models where you have to...

Re: Glare from plastic instrument panel

I would be nice if the plastic was made of a different type of plastic, the no reflection / glare type

Glare from plastic instrument panel

Has anyone been able to do something about the glare you get from the plastic panel covering the speedometer and the tach with the sun is just right (wrong)?  Tilting it does nothing  (2015 R1200RT)

Re: Cell phone mount for a 2015 R1200RT

Interesting set up, thanks.  Does the BMW emblem just pop off? How is the mount secured to the handle bar?

Re: Wunderlich Engine Crash Bars and Denali Auxiliary Lights

I purchased the wunderlich forward crash bar for my 2015 R1200RT.  After reading this I am wondering what the challenge will be when I go to put them on

Cell phone mount for a 2015 R1200RT

Has anyone mounted a cell phone holder (I have an iPhone 7) fo the 2015 R1200RT?  I saw one today where the base plate for the mount, bolts on top of the Brake reservoir.  If you have successfully mounted a cell phone holder to the 2015 1200 RT can you tell me which mount you bough...

Re: This just doesn't seem right

One last thought. Warning I cannot remember if I did this to my current bike or whether it was another bike but here goes. If you take the clutch lever off you should find an adjustable rod that actuates the clutch master cylinder. If you undo lock nut and rotate rod to make it longer then it will i...

Re: This just doesn't seem right

Yes. Mine will spin the rear wheel a little because of the clutch drag in the engine oil but not enough that would make the bike lurch forward. I always give the gear lever a good positive prod when selecting first to avoid the gears grinding.

Thanks

Re: This just doesn't seem right

Can one of you put your bike up on the center stand and see if yours does the same thing (rear wheel spins when you shift into 1st)

The other thing that happens, is when the clutch is fully in, if I  s l o w l y put it into 1st gear it grinds like bitch

Re: This just doesn't seem right

OK so I went out and put it on the center stand. Started it and shifted it into 1st and CLANK the rear wheel did start to turn but stopped. As the bike warmed up it seemed to get worse.  So is there an adjustment that can be made by the dealer or is it going to be "it is what it is&quo...

Re: This just doesn't seem right

A clunky/clanky shift is normal for the RT (just search forums like other poster said).  However, the lurching forward is not, imo, normal.  That sounds like a clutch issue, possibly.  Others may have better opinion or suggestions, but if you sit on  the bike, en...

The clutch feels ok from what I can tell, but the lurching has got me baffled. Thanks for the mineral fluid info

Re: This just doesn't seem right

Thanks.  A few weeks ago, I called the dealer where I bought it, and the tech suggested leaning the bike over to the right as far as I could and working the clutch lever 20 or more times letting it "pop" out briskly.  He said perhaps it's air in the hydraulic system.&...
