I also have hearing issues (deaf right side) and when I bought my '15 RT it came with the audio system and I'm glad I got it. I also have a Sena 20S communicator with the bluetooth and it's a great deal. Might want to consider resale value to a not so hearing impaired rider some ...

Ok I can't explain this but I went out and redid everything and I'm now getting sound out of both sides. I can't explain it. Sorry for the false alarm. Thanks for the reply

Bluetooth audio only out of one side
I have a 2015 R1200RT and a Sena 20S Bluetooth communicator. When I pair the Bluetooth to the bike's audio system, and play one of the radios (XM, FM) I only get sound out of the right side. When I pair my iPhone and play music I get sound out of both so I know the Bluetooth is working correctly. So...
