Re: I highly recommend you do not buy Pirelli Angel GT II. . .

Are the tyres recommended for a heavy bike like the RT?  Usually the tyres are either GT or HWM fitments I think.

Re: Quick shifter problem?

Had my 2016 LC from new and its got about 22000 miles on it now.  My experience is similar to above: It is pot luck on the upshift, especially on lower gears (although if you are using upshift on WOT in the lower gears then maybe you've bought the wrong bike...).  As mentioned abov...

Re: Start up Issue

On long trips I have the spare key on a landyard around my neck.  Never had a problem so that must be out of range.

Re: Tyre Version Codes

Here's what BMW told me last October: "Good afternoon Kevin Thanks for your patience. I have contacted a BMW Centre and they have suggested that both Michelin PR4GT and Metzeler Z8 are still available for your bike. They have also suggested that you can also purchase the Royal Pilot 5GT or any ...

Yes, think that was good of them, the delay obviously wasn't down to them. I thought they were top, when I dealt with them.

Re: Route Planning Software - what do you use?

Another vote for Basecamp (or should that be a medal for perseverance).  It took a while to get used to it, much cursing, swearing and the odd divorce threat, but now it's okay.  Not only that, I've got a lot of data in there now.  Must admit I plan routes with one eye on ...

Re: Does anyone know what this missing fastener maybe?

Hi Ira Just had that side apart on my 2016 to fit some Denali lights.  The bracket uses the two screws you can see behind the air duct, so I removed the screw that you have missing while the bracket was fitted..  From memory it was a black Torx head screw.  I don't think i...

Re: Oldtimers service what a joke !!

I bought mine a year or so back from Oldtimers. It has been perfect and I found them really friendly and helpful. As others have said, post times are pretty random at the mo.
