Re: Winter riding!

I have said, if it's not "Double Figures" 10degC I'm not going out. Putting heated grips on the XJ650 made the difference between riding in the Winter or not. I have Alpinestars Textiles, BMW Boots & Gloves, I find the Summer Gloves OK with heated grips. The Heated Insoles have made a ...

Re: Winter riding!

Interesting that you should say your tootsies got cold,  I run a 2012 RT like your job bike & suffer from cold feet. Do you use any heated clothing for work or pleasure. Have invested in some Kies Heated Insoles, they are great, have got a supply & controller on my XJ650, not yet go...

Re: BULLRACK- Pannier and Top Case Wall Mounts-R1200RT and more

Thanks for confirming that, a brilliant design, well done, hope you sell loads.

Fortunately, I have a pitched roof on my garage with storage space for the top case & side cases.

Re: BULLRACK- Pannier and Top Case Wall Mounts-R1200RT and more

A great idea, it looks like the Pannier bracket replicates the two upper case holders on the side of the bike, below the carrier/grab rail.

When the case handle is pushed down, does it engage the latching mechanism behind the mount on the bracket, (above the Bull's head) for security of fixing.

Re: Serious lack of tie points on RT2014

I do prefer the looks of the RT, particularly the Twin Cam with it's more wrap around body panels over the RT LC & the GS/GSA. Having said that, all bikes have their appeal, place & function, etc. The GS/GSA is certainly more practical for some folks, 19" dia. Front Wheel, longer travel...

Re: Zumo 660 in the nav V cradle

Reassuring to know & confirms what the BMW Dealer told me when I was considering purchasing an LC, that the Zumo 660 & therefore the BMW Nav. IV will fit & be powered up from the Factory Nav. V Cradle on the Bike, thanks.

Re: Fresh blood! Considering purchasing an RT

Looks like perhaps 2012 was the year of 021's. Have use Factory Fit, Metzeler Z6's for the last 7 years & nearly 70,000 miles, couldn't complain. Had to have a rear changed in Scotland & could only get a Michelin Pilot Road (Original), ended up with a matched pair when I got home. They seeme...

Re: BMW Motorrad Store

Wasn't going to purchase anything from them, just for reference of what might be available, as with the other links.

Haven't found a UK BMW Site with prices in £'s.
