Re: Beeping noise when ignition switched on
Update!! It's stopped doing it! I've not yet replaced the duff bulb so its nothing to do with that. As it was low down I am wondering if it was to do with the exhaust valve. Also as the bike had been sitting for a while in the showroom and now I'm using it, could something have freed up that had bee...

Re: Missing screw
Agree with LATiger, looks like you need a bolt extractor to remove broken off bit. Easy enough job if you have the tools otherwise use a workshop.

Re: 2012 Gear shift adjustment
That's one he'll of a helpful reply! I'll second that! I'm about to start adjustment on my 2011 gear lever and the pics. tell me all I need to know. Don't know about others out there with size 11 plates of meat but I find gear changing in the lower gears quite tricky. No problem i...

Re: Missing screw
Hi bieffe,
By "torn" do you mean the thread is stripped? If so, a helicoil insert may do the trick plus a new screw.
Good luck,
Andy

Re: Engine flush or not?
Thanks for your thoughts and I'm tending to agree with the "don't use it" camp which was my gut reaction in the first place. The bike has a full BMW service history up to 04/15 and I doubt it has been serviced since then.
Cheers,
Andy

Engine flush or not?
Hi Guys,
I'm about to change the oil and filter on my 2011 RT SE and I was wondering about whether to add an engine flush. Are there any known problems with using an engine flush on an RT service? Any brands recommended?
All contributions welcome,
Cheers,
Andy

Re: Tyres pressure warning
Although you can put tubes in some tubeless tyres,
Have to disagree here - all the feedback I've had after my near miss is just the opposite - don't do it, but its up to you
Did your old Harley go fast enough to put you in danger?

Re: Tyres pressure warning
Ok re-read your post, this is a wind up right! I'm not sure it is actually. I think Ventura is asking in a round about sort of way is "are the tyres tubeless?" Answer is fairly obviously "yes" because I, for one, have never heard of a tube with pressure sensors...

Re: Tyres pressure warning
Just a word of warning if you were thinking about it but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES PUT A TUBE INTO A TUBELESS TYRE!!!! I'm not actually sure if its possible on the RT but it was certainly possible on my old K75 and I very nearly paid a very high price when the valve stem on the tube sheared through fat...

Re: Beeping noise when ignition switched on
No fob, just a plain key.
I've haven't yet replaced the duff bulb to see if it stops. The bike had been in the showroom then in my garage so I was wondering if it was a weak battery warning noise.

Beeping noise when ignition switched on
Hi Guys, I'm new to my RT so still learning. When I switch on the ignition there's a beeping noise coming from somewhere low down on the bike. There is also a yellow warning triangle and a symbol that tells me, quite correctly, that one of my dip beam bulbs is kaput. Is the beep a back up to the vis...

Re: K100RT
Hi, I have a '91 K75S and its an absolutely fabulous bike - but BMW did iron out some of the problems in the K100 when they made the 75. For a more accurate answer to your questions log onto http://www.motobrick.com/ This is a site dedicated to all things K and is a very, very good site. The knowled...

Or even better, leave the panniers on and ride the bike in the way it look the best! Good point! I've only just got my RT and I'm looking at with panniers on and off and it looks wrong without them. Too fat at the front? My beloved K75S definitely looks good without the...

Re: What would it take to get the brake system from a 2007 to a 2005 model ?
Would it not also have serious insurance implications - ditching the braking system in favour of your own set up? I'm sure if you're involved in an accident and the insurers check, you'd be deep in the doo.Whilst workable it has to dramatically reduce the value of the bike
