I had this issue with a 2014 R1200RT. To free the valve was easy; to keep it free was the issue as within a day or two it would be stuck again. I eventually removed the cables (to avoid damaging the servo motor). Cheers David

Has it ever worked since you've owed the motorcycle?

2014 RT LH switch gear replaced for not being able to engage cruise control, LH Pannier would not lock on so replaced. Exhaust flapper valve failed after warranty expired, rear disc replaced also when out of warranty.


2019 RT nothing so far....

I'm sure this question has been asked before, however....on a 2014 R1200RT how do you switch the odometer display between miles and kilometers?


Easy to do on the Garmin GPS, but I can't remember how to change the motorcycle display....

I will be going on a group ride soon, so the question is...will I be able to pair my helmet to other Bluetooth intercom...

I've had one of the Ztechnik screens on my RT for about 2 years now after the original screen was damaged, and I would definitely recommend them. The profile of the screen angles the airflow so that its ducted away from the rider's head. This makes the screen noticeably quieter when riding. Cheers D...

I used moly grease on the splines, a general purpose grease on the pivot pin, rubber grease on the end of the rubber boot.
