Dont hold your breath on that, the top cases are pretty pricey. I got to keep the top case from my 2012 when I traded it for a 2014. I thought that was a god deal.

Head Gasket
When removing the head to check the valves is it necessary to replace the head gasket or can the old one be reused? On a recent service it appears that a friend was not charged for a new gasket. At another dealer she was charged $90 for the gasket. She will contact the new dealer tomorrow to see if ...

Re: R1200RT LE Newbie
I went from an RT to GTL in 2012. Went back to the RT within the year. I just couldnt get that good feeling about the GTL. Its a great bike, just not for me. Ann and I took the GTL on the track at Barber Motorsports, great fun but I just couldnt get happy with it.Im just a boxer guy so I w...

Re: 6000 Mile service
I had about 2300 miles on the bike before I left for out west this summer. I changed the oil and filter before I left. I changed it again when I got home when we got back with about 8800 miles on the clock. I also changed the final drive oil. I took the bike to the dealer in Asheville NC (...

Re: Storage Weight Capacity?
I must agree with RT10Man. As you can see from the picture we are very loaded up. Ann isnt very big but she has lots of stuff. We had about 35 or 40 pounds on the top rack besides having all the bags full. Bike did fine but you just have to adjust for the top heavy weight. We are traveling to the NC...

Re: Top Box Rack - 2012 Twin Cam RT
In the picture you will notice that Ann's jacket is also bungied to the bag on the rack. We are on the way to Keystone SD from Devils Tower. It was 97 degrees and humid.
Hope this helps.

Re: Top Box Rack - 2012 Twin Cam RT
I used a Wolfman small waterproof bag bungied to the rack. I averaged about 30 to 35 pounds in the bag. I carried my rain gear and Ann's armored pants. It was too hot to wear them most of the time. Also carried miscellaneous stuff purchased on the road. The rack or the top box did not suffer any ill...
