Re: Opinion on oil filter
My bike is a 2018 R1200RT on which the filter is vertical to the left side. So installing a longer filter would not decrease the ground clearance. The author of the article sees no difference in the three filters except for the length. They all have the same threads, a ...

Opinion on oil filter
I found the following oil filter cross reference site http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/FilterXRef.html . Footnote 7 at the bottom of the page suggests that I should use the longest filter of three lengths that will fit in the space provided. To get a better understanding here...

Sena 20S EVO for use on two different bikes (not at same time)
I have a 2018 RT on which I am currently using my Sena 20S EVO. I also have an R1150RT that I want to add a bluetooth transmitter to so that when I am riding it I can use the same headset. Will I have to redo the pairing every time that I change bikes or will the 20S EVO store th...

Re: NAV VI Voice Prompts via BMW Audio System?
I believe there is a menu setting for turning on voice prompts in the NAV VI. Have you tried looking at the NAV VI settings?

Re: NAV VI Voice Prompts via BMW Audio System?
Are you asking if you can get the voice prompts through the bike speakers and without using a headset? I have heard voice prompts through my bikes speakers on my 2018RT before I got my bluetooth headset.

Re: Engine oil
What ever oil you decide to use just make sure that it meets or exceeds the factory specs. I don't believe that 5w30 does.

2018 Final Drive oil specs
I've scanned through the owner's manual and I can't find out what the specs are for the final drive oil. If it's in the owner's manual could someone tell me where or at least tell what I should use?

Re: Locking the Nav5 to the RT...
Getting back to the OP's original question. I just found this thread and I don't have time to read 6 pages of posts. Has anybody mentioned "http://www.oldtimers.si/en/navi-central ... -2014.html"?

Re: Help with German translation to English
I misspelled a word in German. The corrected German instruction should have been " nach dem kleben mit kreppband oder tesaband fixieren trockenzeit min 12 stunden". This makes the English translation " after gluing with masking tape or tesa tape f...
