Re: No power/No prime to fuel pump 09' R1200RT-P
Have you tried cranking the engine, I have read that the fuel pump only runs when cranking or the engine is running. Don't know myself whether this is true or not. I did crank it and no change, although to be fair, I only cranked it for a second, I did think the same thing that turning the engine o...

Re: No power/No prime to fuel pump 09' R1200RT-P
When you fitted the new pump, did you swap the controller over or fit a new one? I had a spare USED FPC that came off my previous RT-P. That bike had a badly degraded pump that I replaced with a used pump that came with an FPC. So the one I am using on the new pump is used. It is POSSIBLE it is bad...

Re: No power/No prime to fuel pump 09' R1200RT-P
Thanks David. I figured as much. The bike does have the emergency lights installed and they are NOT working. I think they are likely connected to the missing aux battery and is why they are not working, but everything else is coming on as it should, lights, stepper motor, the starter engages, the tu...

No power/No prime to fuel pump 09' R1200RT-P
OK, on my second RT-P and seems to also have a fuel system issue. The pump in the bike DOES NOT prime when the key is switched on. I have a brand new in box oem fuel pump assembly and a spare FPS attached to it that I connected and that also DOES NOT prime on the key turn. Believe I was told on my f...

Re: My latest auction bike, video
Is this the same bike that you wanted to know the make of the spot lamps? Yes, the last one I had, which is the one in the pictures, has/had that light set and I would like a set for this bike. Sorry, to clarify, this is a new to me bike, however, it is identical to the one in the pictures I post p...

My latest auction bike, video
So my long time hobby of buying surplus police cars has wound up dropping a second R1200RT-P in my lap. Attaching a YouTube video, I am sure I will be quite famous in not time at all, but in the meantime, you can laugh and/or cry along with my shenanigans...

Re: Batteries - once again...
I have to buy a battery shortly. What is the actual physical dimension of the "proper" oem BMW battery for an 09' RT? I saw 7' x7" x3" is that right? I am opting for an AGM

@Steve398 no worries, appreciate the comments. Love the VFR in your sig!! That was a very cool bike in the day that seemed to get mostly ignored here in the US. Very few of them floating around.

Re: What brand/model are these driving/fog lights?
Thanks Steve398 , I am stateside, not sure if joining and coughing up a few extra $'s for shipping it would be worth it, BUT, I would def buy a used set. Any chance you are a member and could verify they are still avail? Someone messaged me from another forum saying they are possibly PIAA's they loo...

Re: License plate screws
Hey from Rocket City, not sure what dealer you purchased from (or frequent) but they should have given you a couple. If not, I would swing by and ask for some. The previous dealer I used literally had a bucket of the reflective screws on the parts counter, assuming you have the cheap metal bracket f...

Re: What brand/model are these driving/fog lights?
@David that is spot on. $600 US seems a bit steep though? Maybe the cheapies on ebay not so bad? But, truth be told, I don't see any sets that look like an OEM setup. Guess I have to pay the BMW tax.

Re: What brand/model are these driving/fog lights?
Looks like the clamp attaches to the top bolt of the caliper attachment point. Guessing the kit comes with a longer screw? I see lots of options on Ebay, but betting its cheap Chinese stuff. These were fitted by the law enforcement agency before I bought it. I have since sold this bike but picking u...
