Re: Luggage
I have a small Touratech tailpack for the various odds ‘n sods as I don’t like topboxes, too heavy, high up, and far back over the rear axle. I generally prefer when possible to run without panniers, they’re also heavy and offers my wife the opportunity put in loads of stuff that she apparently ‘nee...

Here in the UK we have a acronym - RTFM, which essentially says check your handbook!
For other matters there’ll always be someone on here with the answer, so ask away.

Re: The annual Greece trip ‘24
I hope we’ve got it off to a fine art now as it’s our 13th crossing! The worst was with coach loads of American teenagers who got drunk as quickly as possible and spent the whole night shouting to each other.
We’ve also learnt to always get cabins, I’m way too old to sleep rough.

The annual Greece trip ‘24
Every year since 2010 (Covid excepting) we’ve ridden down to Greece, with a different route or focus each time. Last year it was a wander down through Italy to Bari via Herculaneum to see the archeological site and lots of bones, a great ride other than high winds and driving rain until we reached G...

Re: Sargent seat
You can get Aliexpress ones, I think Dr T bought one but I doubt they do one for the Sargent seat.

My wife is a gem… if I’m fighting with something on the bike, cold, wet, or thoroughly p*ssed off she says “Cup of tea or a glass of wine?”

Re: Can I use this gps mount?
Ah you're talking about a mount I am talking about an adaptor that allows you to mount most sat navs to the nav prep and take its power from there Like so 20210628_183815.jpg 20210628_183955.jpg Italian. Here’s mine fitted in the OEM BMW Navigator mount with the adaptor and Tomtom DF724EE6-FC92-408...

Re: Personalised Number Plates
I’m just not into personalised plates, however, when I worked for Honda they produced the 50th Anniversary Russel Savory Limited Edition range for several models, including the CBR600, Firestorm, Blackbird and VFR800. Each machine had a small plaque with the issue number on the bike, and I had #1 of...

Re: Recall work
That’s abysmal! After Bahnstormers completed the repair/replacement I noticed that the fasteners that they had removed all had orange marker dots on them, presumably to visually indicate to the mechanic that they had been correctly torqued before handing the bike back to the owner. It’s certainly re...
