I tried padded cycle shorts once,  but couldn't get over that they felt like I'd shat myself
Maybe I would've got used to them if I'd persisted (or maybe I actually had shat mysen)

It's an old post (2014)..  I did part ex my 2012 for a 2014
Still miss the 2012 and if I had the money I would have both,  however I'm soon to swap again for another new one,  due here in December

It does look superb,  just can't justify that money for 5 days
Having said that I did a 2 day course with 'warpspeed' who is also a class 1 police rider (retired) but that cost £360

I would recommend the Warm & Safe jacket. Infinitely adjustable and very comfortable. I'm a big fan of the warmnsafe gear too,  I have a full set with a dual controller. My feet and hands suffer in the cold but since investing in the heated gear 6 or so years ago riding in the cold is ...

Well, good news on my front. I took the bike back to Allan Jefferies and spoke to Dan on the service desk, he escalated the issue to BMW and they have very kindly replaced the swing arm and the gear housing at the rear wheel, even though the bike was out of warranty.
