Help me plan a tour to Patagonia (Argentina) please!
Hello all. Can I pick your brains regarding a possible trip to Argentina in Jan / Feb 2022 please? I am especially keen to hear from anybody who has ridden in this area. We intend to follow the east coast route from Buenos Aires to Punta Arenas / Ushuaia visiting a number of port...

Re: M62 or A628 across The Pennines
Hi. I, unfortunately, have to travel across the A628 (Woodhead) fairly regularly to Manchester. I live only a few miles from Penistone and join the road at Flouch roundabout. The entire journey is dreadful (apart from the scenery). It is single carriageway and...

Re: Proposed tour to Sweden - advice & tips please.
Many thanks David, Dave H and Jackronner - all useful intel. I have heard it is eye-wateringly expensive and with the state of the exchange rate at present that will just make matters worse. That s why I'm looking to do it on the cheap if possible! I was interested to r...

Proposed tour to Sweden - advice & tips please.
Hi guys. I'm thinking of touring Sweden next August as the weather is supposed to be decent. At this early stage I thought I'd see if anybody has any good tips on routes; accommodation, riding in Sweden and the best way of doing this from UK, or any other general information worth sharing....

Displaying speed as kph rather than mph.
Hi all. I have a 2017 R1200RT LE. Does anybody know if it is possible to change the digital read out to show my speed in kph rather than mph for when I am touring on the continent? If it is possible then how do I go about it?
Many thanks guys.

Advice on purchase and fitting of a brake light to my top box please guys.
Hi all. I am thinking of sourcing and fitting an additional high level brake light to my 2017 RT1200 LE. I have a colour matched top box and obviously want the light to fit within it in the space provided. Should I just pay top dollar and go to the dealer or is there a cheaper / ...

Help needed with abrasion to engine cowling
Hi all. The off-side engine cowling of my RT1200 LE (2017) has an abrasion on it (Woops!) as can be seen on the photograph attached. Can anybody advise me of how easy it is to replace this and where I might pick one up at a decent price (I realise though that I may need to go bac...

RT1200 LE (2017) - pannier liners wanted.
Hi all. Can anybody tell me where I can pick up a cheap pair of pannier liners for my RT1200 LE (2017). They are needed to fit the standard panniers that come with the bike. As expected the official BMW liners are astronomically priced!
Cheers. Matt

Help needed with Nav V1
I have recently bought the BMW Nav Vl which looks a great piece of kit. However, when I put a destination in (eg a postcode) it finds the route and tells me the expected time of arrival. That's nice but I would prefer to know how many miles it is and then for the miles to count d...

Nav 5 or Nav 6?
Hi all. I'm wanting to purchase a BMW sat nav for my 2017 RT1200. Is it worth paying considerably extra for the Nav 6 or is the Nav 5 decent? Matt

R1200RT (BMW) Top Box
Hi all. I am looking to purchase a BMW top box for my 1200RT (2017). I believe it is possible to source one cheaper than via BMW Motorrad but I haven't been able to find this. The cheapest I've seen from BMW is £442 (Ouch!) for a 49L box - can anybody help me beat this...
