No Crater. Suicidal cyclists abound here in the Bristol area as well...!!!Crater wrote: Interesting. Thanks.
By the way, now the nights are closing in, is it only in Essex that we get cyclists wearing dark clothes riding without lights?

Re: S1000XR
Frank, I only made that generalisation on the basis of a v-twin engine being a configuration that is generally more 'shaky' than in-line or parallel twins. Re the Beemer boxer configuration, I find the R1200 LC variant surprisingly smooth for a horizontally-opposed twin, and BMW appear to have also ...

Re: S1000XR
Interesting comments Frank re the vibration issue. Mind you, I'd have thought that the Ducati MS v-twin engine would be a shaky old lump, or is engine damping such that it's been damped down to a minimum??

You on the sauce again RTman10, the bike is in the title lol but I am curious as what is a side marker light? Extract from Wikipedia re N American side markers:- In the US, amber front and red rear side marker lamps and retroreflectors are required. The law initially required lights or retroreflect...

Re: S1000XR
Yes Chad. I took a dealer demo one (with all the bling) for a long ride when I was eliminating various Beemer choices prior to recently buying my RT. It certainly bought a fixed manic grin to my face throughout the ride, as the engine is fantastic. Mind you, so it should be as it's a detuned S1000R ...

Re: Front Fender Extender
Got mine in this week, but one of the mounting screws was buggered up, so I couldn't get it mounted. On top of that, the tall VStream that I got is just entirely too tall, so I've got to send it back for the standard. All in all, a useless day. Re the mounting screws - I initially struggled with on...

Yes, here's another fan of this well-designed and engineered mudguard extender. Acquired from NN now priced at £49 , but yes, it is good.

Ah, good news. I take it there's no issues/concerns aired re heat generation from the LED 'bulb' when installed in place of the OEM halogen bulb??

Re: Nav V
It comes in 2 versions. With and without the mounting cradle which also has some function buttons on it. The cradle is not required on the LC. I think the difference in price between the two is £25. Incidental if you find a bike with a cradle fitted but no GPS the buttons will o...

Re: LED Headlight Upgrade on RTLC
Well that's dipped done, I actually removed the little front storage box which gave me visual of the spring clips locking area which helped. For anyone attempting you do need to connect all the cabling and insert the ballast down the side of the reflector before inserting the bulb as I just couldn'...
