Re: Rear pads gone, completely…down to metal…
Tyre mileages for me seem to be pretty much the same depending on the tyre between 8-10K, Front could get longer but I tend to change them both together. I try to be smooth not aggressive. I had similar milage from both brakes and tyres on other larger bikes. Previous to the RT had a 1050sprint GT w...

Re: Rear pads gone, completely…down to metal…
People will get different milage from their pads depending on the type of riding they are doing. A fair percentage of mine is urban commutes so lots of slow stop start, filtering etc. This tends to be heavier on the brakes than going on long trips down a motorway where you could travel 400 miles wit...

Re: Rear pads gone, completely…down to metal…
If both pads have worn a similar amount then there is not an issue, If one pad has warn much quicker than the other it is usually a sign the sliding pins are not moving freely and will need some attention.

Re: Front end shake/vibration at over 70mph
Try loosening the axel clamps and quick release then bounce the front end with the front brake on, then tighten up again.
As you have had the front wheel of it could just need re-centering.

Re: Route mapping software
For years I successfully used Tyre, the forerunner to MyRoute, and was subjected to constant emails urging me to upgrade whilst the original became slower and more clunky. In the end I did upgrade and found it to be all they promised. It is fast and efficient, but whereas Tyre was free MyRoute most...

Re: R1300RT?
Anything that let's you know you are close to something you can't see in your stock RT useless mirrors sounds like a sound investment to me. I don't have a problem with the stock mirrors they seem to be well thought out and give me a good field of rear view. Vibrate a little sometimes but then I lo...

Hi
I use an Abba Skylift. works great both wheel are easily accessible and its easy to get to the underside of the bike. Downside is you need a bench or table to keep your tools on

Normally a loud OEM exhaust is due to a stuck exhaust butterfly valve.
