Probably best to find someone who can hold a bike up then!
No one needs friends who can't hold a bike :))

Re: Shift up indicator
They work in a strange way!
steadily cruising along it will tell you to go in as high a gear as possible
Giving it some stick it will tell you to hold the gears longer
I turned mine off as I found myself following its advise and the bike just felt like it was in the wrong gear all the time

Re: Engine bars
The great thing about the Illium Bars IMHO, is that they DO NOT bolt to an engine bolt, thus you don't have to undo an engine bolt to install them. They bolt to the same threads as the driving light brackets and some threads already in the front/lower engine cast. I really do like the ilium bars bu...

Re: Brake / Clutch Fluid Reservoir Diaphragm
You have just answered your own question
Without that diaphragm where do you think that water is going to go? Straight in to the brake fluid

Re: Smoke on Start up After Sitting for a While
First thing you need to determine is what is actually coming out the exhaust. Is it steam or smoke, then go from there. This Steam is condensation in the exhaust burning off which is normal Smoke is more likely oil burning off which is not normal Does it have a blue hint to it? Try and get a video o...

Re: Under seat storage
Please let us know if you find a hidden space for everything/anything. Amazing that on a bike this big, there is very little room to stash small items. My XR has a fair amount of room under the seat. I have my air compressor, tire kit, some tools, etc there no problem....

Re: Engine bars
OK. I'm just telling you how it's done on my bike. I have BMW spotlights on the original mounts, no extra brackets. All mounted. While it sounds good and I am sure I would figure it out and get them to work Heed are no longer posting to the UK! I emailed them last night and they have suspended all ...

Re: Engine bars
For Heed you don't have to do that. BMW ones still can be fitted without any additional brackets. It says on their website it says [size=13px] Warning! The crash bars cannot be installed with the original auxiliary lights. We have a special brackets for additional lights which can be installed on o...

Engine bars
I have been looking about for some engine bars for my 2016 RT I have seen the ilium bars and like the way they sit as they leave the casings free for maintenance plus I have genuine head covers and was planning on leaving these on The trouble is they are twice as much as others :-X&nbs...
